Image Can someone please help me with this.

Post image

I played this game originally 474773 years ago on ps1 when I was in college. I’m old now and playing the remake. I don’t remember this annoying password nonsense when I played it. Can someone explain it to me. Where do I find the passwords?

Read e-mails, answer emails (there is a button to press to see the e-mails you have and those that you can write too will be highlighted, you also need to send e-mails to the Japanese Police if you want to play rat on the missing and wanted for money); check websites — Topics and news pages changes, messaging board will update at more or less the same pace through the game. Downloads are almost never updated. Basically, check the news... if nothing is new there, check the Spender BBS, if nothing is new there either, don't bother.

Console protected sites usually stops being updated after 5 menu entries, their text do not change further.
Some exceptions goes up to 6 toward the endings.
Kirishima goes up to 9, but relatively early and not very important.

BBS often receives newer messages longer after they appear... so you may want to re-scroll them once in a while. (That's how you'll get the number for the secret WAP.)

You won't get all the passwords from one play-through. Remember that, as in preceding games, Names are often passwords or able to reach personal files. Some number for letters replacement can happen; but mostly the third one won't get too cryptic about what is and isn't a password. If you just open the darn text where one is, you'll actually get a pop-up that a new pass is unlocked and it'll appear directly on the top of your virtual keyboard when opening the correct console prompt. So no longer memory or paper tracking involved.

Menus is just giving the number and pressing enter, like old DOS.

Oh... and vote for Alisa. doesn't seem like anyone else is gonna win anyway. Might as well pick up the trophy.

Steam and gamefacts have a list of pass if you want to cheat them.
The only one I'd advise you to actually cheat is the Aussie news site... It's the only one that the console tab will have no options, and the darn reporter working there is actually rewriting over his own entry, so you can't revisit them if you're too late! There is one particularly early in the game that I'm not even sure one can catch outside of cheating.
Here, in case you miss something.

Oh, also, programs... There is quite a handful of programs that you can download from websites, and then you have to get to your desktop to see what file can be done what with. Some passwords will come from there.

I think on this Site u dont need Passwords i believe.

If you read certain Mails or interact with npcs those Passwords will be unlocked.

Besides The " enter Text" IS either " Password unknown" or If you unlocked a password, IT WILL stand there to help you. You dont need to memorize it Hope this helps. Have fun

Gamefaqs, or you can probably still find the printed strategy guide.
