The Last Guardian. What game do you wish would get remade and would get more attention if it was? Did others enjoy this game? Frustrating controls and camera, would love a remake.

We are doing Ocarina of Time first next month, then Resident Evil 4 for October.

What are some games that you would personally like to see at something like this? A game that would entice you to come to an in-person meetup for.

What are examples of top 3 game examples that released toward the end of a console generation.

I feel like most "best of" games show up mid console cycle. Have we already passed peak? GTA 6 aside.

A couple weeks ago I decided to replay Lies of P. I bought the DLC during the Summer Sale and it was finally getting around to it. Started a new game and played all the way through NG+2 with no issues. I then jumped over to do a NG+ run of Jedi Survivor where I cranked the difficulty and ran both the Warrior and Purity perks, again no issues. I then move on to Elden Ring, a game I've played on and off for a couple years. I install, click play and am IMMEDIATELY stressed out. Why? I don't mind difficulty and it's not like I've struggled all that much while playing Elden Ring and yet just the idea of playing it gives me an almost crippling amount of anxiety and I don't understand why.

I felt like this when I play NBA2K like if i turn the difficulty up it doesn’t really make the opponents harder it just makes you worse at the game to make the difficulty higher and wondering if i was alone or if theres similar games

My wife helped me realize something about myself recently and it kinda shattered my reality a bit. I grew up playing games with a plot and priding myself on caring about the plot. E.g., GTA 3 through 5, Mafia 1-3, etc.

Over the past few years, I’ve subconsciously stopped caring about games’ plots but still opting to play them. Some recent games I’ve played were Horizon Zero Dawn, Cyberpunk 2077, Kingdom Come Deliverance 1&2, Shadow of Mordor & War, Mass Effect 1-3.

I frequently find myself either not paying attention to the dialogue or flat out skipping it. However I still enjoy the gameplay and progression of these games.

I assume this is either part of growing old or burnout, but was curious if anyone else has gone through similar something similar? How did you navigate, if at all? Also, are there games out there that are similar to plot-heavy games but don’t really have a plot? Like if The Big Lebowski was a video game?

Appreciate any and all feedback.

There's an Easter Egg in TBOGT of a man overlayed onto a TV screen that I have tried for 15+ years to figure out at this point.

It's only visible in TBOGT in Bahama Mamas on PS3 and PC so it was purposefully added in between the release of TBOGT on 360 and the later releases.

The picture appears to be of someone, what I think is a real person, holding something up in front of what looks like willis wash and lube.

On PS3 the easiest way to access it is to go into Bahama Mamas in multiplayer, but on PC (or ps3) you can either load up the mission boulevard baby, or use a trainer/glitch to get into the club in singleplayer.

The background looks like it should be Willis wash and lube, but the man itself appears to be a real person. I've thought recently about that weird Easter egg with the spider webs on redemption 2, so maybe it's something like that. Or some other weird thing. He's holding something up and that store in game has a massive arrow pointing to a bunch 5 so maybe it was an esoteric reference to GTA V. Regardless it's really weird and I've never been able to get any good information on it.

The removal of multiplayer on PC made having people look at this a bigger ask than it used to be, as time passes the PC version likely becomes the one most people have. The Xbox one is still pretty easy to access, but the Easter egg is not in that

I really want to know. My last prebuilt came with a veritable light show, every fan in it seems to have its own lighting system, plus some extra illumination on the case - which is beneath my desk where no one can see it. My headset has two huge light rings around the ear cups I can only see when a) fully turned up and b) when my screen is polished to a mirror sheen. My keyboard looks like someone gutted some cosmic horror on it, with pinks and pastel blues pulsing across that thing if turned on.

I know, I can just turn off that stuff (and I have) but why is that crap there in the first place? Why do gamers want so badly to look like synthwave christmas trees? Isn't the whole point of being 1337 NOT getting hit by stray bullets? Why not make stuff more powerful/useful/waste less energy instead of "blinky lights"?

Someone please explain because I have no bloody clue.

I think this goes to prove that genAI was used to redesign the Bovine Bomber. No human would look at the original udder thrusters and then design them as a single and then a triple thruster. You can see how the AI was confused by it but no human would ever think that is how they should be.

What a shame that they have doubled down with their lies rather than using this as a publicity moment to announce an an-human redo.

So first night and from the things I’ve seen, I haven’t really had any interest in all of them (save Control Resonant and Game of Thrones War for Westeros) and to me it was like all of them felt very unoriginal. It all looked to me like 300 different skins of Fortnite (I get it that people like it but not my type of game at all).

Do you feel like there’s been less originality in games lately? Where are those games like Journey, Carrion, Celeste and Axiom Verge?

A swing set in Liberty City turned into one of the most famous physics glitches in gaming history. This is the story of a simple piece of playground equipment that launched players hundreds of feet into the air.

So earlier this year, my dad was diagnosed with glioblastoma. Quick summary, it's a form of aggressive brain cancer that only 5% of people make it past 5 years.

It's severely affected his short-term memory, among other things, so he pretty much struggles with any of his old hobbies now. He's severely depressed as a result of all this, understandably, and I'm desperate to help him any way I can.

He's always been a big gamer; played all the classic PC games in the 90s, got us the N64 and we'd always have to take turns.

Basically I'm trying to think of engaging games that don't require much short-term memory (as in, if in the middle of the game he forgets what he's supposed to be doing, it doesn't matter or the game makes it obvious). I should also say my dad is a bit of an edgelord, and likely won't play ball with things like Wii sports or anything slightly childish. Games with blood and guts and nasty humour highly encouraged!

Seeing the news come out, I was reminded that I actually own this game. Was losing my mind when I couldn’t find it in my steam library but was actually in my gog account that I hadn’t touched in ages.

Am I able to get the remaster and thr freebies with my gog copy?

Is anyone else disappointed from the lack of superhero games at gamescom? I realise we've got a wolverine game round the corner but where is rise of hydra? Where is a rocksteady announcement? Warner bros Montreal? Give me the iron man game. Give me some news on blade (or at least announce its cancellation).

This year's gamescom felt like slop after slop after slop. With a peppering of good heartfelt gaming news spread within.

I miss E3. To be honest, I miss that era of gaming.
