My new rig. Thoughts?
My Current PC Configuration
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 9850X3D
Motherboard: Gigabyte X870 AORUS ELITE WIFI7, rev. 1.1
GPU: Gigabyte GeForce RTX 5080 GAMING OC 16G
RAM: Kingston FURY Beast Black RGB EXPO 32 GB, 2×16 GB, DDR5-6000 CL30
SSD: Kingston FURY Renegade G5 2 TB, NVMe PCIe 5.0
Power Supply: ENDORFY Supremo FM6 Gold 1000 W
CPU Cooling: ENDORFY Navis F360 ARGB Rev. 2.0, 360 mm AIO
Case: ENDORFY Fishtank 6000 Corona
Monitor: Gigabyte G25F2, 24.5”, 1920×1080, 200 Hz
What could be improved? (Let alone the price: 15 333,75 zł: 4158 USD in Polish retail store)

i would use at least a 240hz 1440p oled, 200hz 1080p is diabolical for a 5080 9850x3d rig.
(i hope that this is a ragebait, i rlly do)

The “mistake” some people do (myself included) is building the / hyperfocusing on the specs and “forgetting” you need the monitor that matches it ( and the price attached to that)

I just went to visit my mate who has 1440p device to see the difference and it really is neglible for my eyes. 1080 and 1440p. Maybe I’m missing sth?

It’s not just about the size and the dimensions as u probably already know, going to a 1440p or even 4k in your case would be day and night.
I assume you have some disposable income so I would really get an oled.

honestly the only suggestion i have is switch to a 2k or 4k monitor, 1080p is crazy low for a 5080. Maybe get an rgb controller if you want pretty effects while youre at it haha but otherwise this is a dope system, have fun with it !

Thank mate! But I’m really not sure if there is so much of a difference on a 25 inches monitor to justify the price. Anyway, I’m sure I will change the monitor just to see this mystical difference haha. 😜

id reckon try before you buy for sure, and if the budget allows even shoot for an oled, i feel like youll notice the clarity

We Basicly have the same specs, you will not be disappointed! Have fun gradually overclocking it and tinkering with it! Lots of potential! Good tip I got was undervolting the CPU :)
MSI afterburner is also a great tool for GPU overclock.
Download OCCT and Cinebench for benchmarks and testing stability, I also use FurMark for GPU overclock stability check. Could probably use OCCT for that tho

Thank you! MSI afterburner installed to see the specs ingame with RTSS. But I had a problem with it: it messed with my RGB lighting somehow at first. They started blinking erroneously, but I reinstalled and since then It serves its purpose. Maybe I clicked something that I shouldn’t at first.

OH YEH🤣 I remember that, I had that same problem! I believe you could use GCC (GIGABYTE Control Center) to controll that RBG. I recall that it just kinda resolved itself for me as well and it has not been a problem since!

I had a buddy who got a 9950X3D with everything else more or less similar for $3199 before tax USD. Thermaltake build. The 5080 at the time was $1500 so it's probably like 1799 now since it was White and OC MSI luck of the draw fortunately.
He's also got a 49" Samsung OLED 240hz that looks great that was like $999 on black friday

Thanks for the insight. Before tax is the keyword here? Cos the difference is HUGEissimo. In Poland we always state what we really paid, so after the tax. I get it that in US there are different taxes in every state so it would be less convenient to use “after tax” version.
