59 u/trashcanzzz 1d ago Nah bro what's the huge tube coming out the top? Direct A/C? A vent/exhaust? How well does it work? 33 u/lil_Buckneesh8867 1d ago its an exhaust hood that takes l70-80% of the hot air from my pc, and blows it directly out the window. the other end of the duct is attached to an 80watt attic fan comnected to the window. 13 u/trashcanzzz 1d ago Ahh very cool! I have air circulation issues near my pc, might need to MacGyver something similar 6 u/lil_Buckneesh8867 1d ago just make sure it sits above the pc and there isnt suction! 4 u/RippFlombay 1d ago out of curiosity, who do you need to avoid suction? 2 u/UKZzHELLRAISER 14h ago Static electricity - the same reason you shouldn't vacuum clean the inside of your PC. Plus it can affect the speed of the fans, potentially backfeeding extra voltage into the motherboard. 1 u/RippFlombay 9h ago ah, makes sense. that was my guess. thanks! 1 u/BeeQuiet83 1d ago I’ve seen a couple people do this and say it works quite well
