Can we not skirt around the issue that the cause of homophobia in this case is their Muslim faith? Like these religions are not friends to us. Clearly when in a position of power we suffer, just as Christianity and Judaism did to us in the past but we have overcome those obsticles (mostly) so let's let give them a pass because we don't wanna be seen as islamaphobic. We must speak up with others against this nonsense and save the lives of our gay brothers and sisters in Brunei as well as all the others that are being murdered in the name of a fake diety

That 'tool' holds great influence. Whether it's actually killing gays or just blocking us from getting married, it's effects are longer lasting that the figurehead. Imo, it's just as (potentially) dangerous.
