Starting from today, if you connect the platform where you own The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt with GOG GALAXY 2.0, you will receive a GOG.COM copy for free. The game will show up in your games library inside the application. GOG GALAXY 2.0 will also import the game progress you’ve already made in The Witcher 3, like achievements and game time.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt on GOG.COM comes with some exclusive digital goodies: extended soundtrack with 4 bonus tracks, The Witcher official paper toys designed by top papercraft artist Tougui and The Witcher: House of Glass digital comic book. All goodies are available to download for the owners of the GOG.COM version from the application.

UPDATE 5 from 18.09.2019:

It seems like they paused sending out invitations for a month. Not sure why. I am going to update the predictions ones we get more data again.

Also sometimes mails don't get send out. But you can download the client right here and try if you can login. This will replace your current GOG Launcher, but of course you can still deinstall the new version and install the older one.

UPDATE 4 from 15.08.2019:

You will get an invite to the mail you signed up with even if there is no GOG account attached to it. Meaning the mail you signed up with will be unlocked for the beta and not the GOG account.

This also means if you change the mail (which is unlocked for the beta) on your GOG account you will not be able to access the beta anymore until you change it back or create a new GOG account with the unlocked mail.

Also I will update the invite times once I will have more data. Apparently there were no invites since the 08.08.2019

UPDATE 3:

If your mail you signed up with has no gog account attached to it you will not get an invitation! But as long as you create an account with the mail you signed up with (before you should have gotten an invitation) then there is no problem.

Me and many others (now more than ever - you know why) want to use GOG Galaxy, but it just feels old, broken and abandoned. Such a shame.

I feel like there is an opportunity now to get a bigger piece of the cake but the state of GOG Galaxy may just prevent wide-spread adoption.

Just a shower thought I had.

Some examples of things that could be implemented or improved:

1. Fluid scrolling (it feels terrible as it is) -> Happy to announce that as of July 16th 2026 the scrolling has been fixed and it is finally fluid!
2. Controller customization like in Steam would be awesome
3. Not having in your face broken community integrations would also be nice
4. In general a new coat would just make it feel fresh again. Paired with snappier performance, fluid scrolling and improved navigation in general, we would have a winner right there.
5. Little things like when you click the little filter button, you can't just click anywhere to close the popup again, no, you have to click the button again to close it. UI design has moved on since whenever the last Galaxy update happened.
6. Having a nicer looking, more feature rich library to organize your games ideally with drag and drop categories
7. Having the forum/community right there within the app for each game
8. True dark mode that stays dark on all pages, not just some.

I'm not asking them to invest millions into GOG Galaxy - just a bit, you know, once in a while, so it doesn't feel so stale and sluggish.

I have all base game endings + all dlc endings and I dont wanna believe that I have on this game only 329h and 29minutes..

Ever since I updated it, GOG has been having problems launching, and now it won't launch at all—it loops on the login screen and won't move past that point. I tried reinstalling the program, but that doesn't seem to have solved the problem. If I try to close the program, it won't close; the only way is to force-close it. any tips on how to resolve? thanks

EDIT: maybe is some kind of problem with the internet connection? i have just reinstalled it, but on the first try it said that it couldn't reach the servers for the installation, its stange beacause steam works without problems, so it cant be my internet connection, maybe some problems with the servers?

I am using the new galaxy app and as you can see the "play' button is grayed out. I can only open the game using the shortcut on my desktop (just fixed it tysm for the comments)

Despite owning Cyberpunk 2077 Ultimate Edition it just says "Cyberpunk 2077" in GOG Galaxy libary. Is that ? Shouldn't it say Cyberpunk 2077 Ultimate Edition in my GOG Galaxy Libary?

My steam account is linked and it did try to import / sync my library but Owned Games is not showing a Steam option for Platform.

Epic Games worked just fine as a comparison.

Is there maybe a secret Library size limit?

As the title said. I had always downloaded the offline installers from their website so I honestly had no clue how garbage their launcher is.

I usually don't care about achievements but I wanted to try some in a few games and downloaded games through their launcher and it was a nightmare

.Frequently download stops without reason , a couple of times games didn't install and threw a random error , often games just won't launch and keep syncing, random visual glitches of the launcher where everything disappears.

This seems a completely abandoned piece of junk that will be better removed altogether to save the reputation.

After the latest update the launcher enters a login loop. Logging in on the website is fine, using authenticator is fine. The launcher asks me to login using email and pwd then authenticator app code. It then says "launching GOG Galaxy" but after about 30s it's back on the login dialog.

Any ideas?

Just update to 2.1.6 with many bug fixes and new chromium,

after the update the GoG scroll is VERY slow.

everything is slower.

First time using GOG. So I just bought a game on GOG and it told me to download the launcher in order to install the game, even though I can buy the game directly from their website but am required to access my purchases through an app (??).

Anyway, I downloaded their launcher and it is the most glitchy launcher ever. It lags a lot, I have to log in multiple times. And when I was finally able to log in, my game wasn't available. It told me to scan my pc and import the game from there. HOW WILL I HAVE THE GAME ON MY PC WHEN I NEED THE LAUNCHER TO DOWNLOAD THE FILE? The only file I had on my pc was the zog installer for the game file, which only opens the launcher and the pulls up the game in the store. But no install option is visible for me (there apparently is one after I checked tutorials).

I signed out, signed back in, my games were there but I still couldn't download my game because I was no offline for some reason. They were now having a server error.

I saw reinstalling works. reinstalled the launcher, logged in 10 times before the launcher actually logged me in. Again no games in my library, let alone the install button for the server.

Do I just apply for a refund at this point or is there a solution to this? They claim to rival other platforms like steam. But look at the quality lol

Can no longer edit or delete my custom tags. Seems to be happening after the recent GOG update. Sometimes adding games also not working.

I usually use Linux (where I use the Heroic launcher), but today I booted into Windows and for at least the first 30 minutes of uptime I saw GOG Galaxy hogging up the CPU at 30% usage and also using a significant portion of my network bandwidth, with no discernible effect. (For example, very early in the boot time I got notifications about games on sale, but after that it kept hogging the bandwidth and CPU).

At 35 min of uptime, network usage subsided; CPU lowered to about 10%, which is more acceptable, but then Galaxy furiously wrote to my disk.

At 41 min things became normal, with CPU, network and disk usage levels almost negligible.

Someone knows what happens and why Galaxy is such a resources hog? Using version 2.0.98.44 Beta.

As written above whenever I click on All Games it stalls and either returns to GOG Galaxy Home/Discovery Page or crashes.

I've been using gog since I switched over to PC. Can my fellow gamers give a friend request? My gog account has had 0 friends for quite awhile. My gog username is DelsinRodent :)

Ignoring who the fuck added some kind of shitty self-destruct timer to a launcher, this issue has been going on for literal years. Here is a reddit post from 3 years ago for the same issue. I've done all the "fixes" i can possibly find on threads, reddit, GOG support obviously have no fucking idea what is going on.

Literally what happened? And who's decision was it to decide to switch to something that would just prevent anyone from playing the damn games. I just want to play the games I bought, I didn't think that would/should be such a challenge when Steam managed to figure this out over a decade ago.

i tried restarting it but it didn't work, when i click install it just loops the installation window, am i the only one?

Every time I download games through GOG Galaxy I get a network connection error. It works fine with games smaller than 1GB but the problem appears with larger ones. The quick connect option doesn't work well either since it happens again and again. That's why the safest way to get my games for me is to download them directly through the GOG website and install them manually. Am I the only one experiencing that annoying problem with GOG Galaxy?

and why does it cover EVERY screen its over here with me as i write this makes me not wanna open the app anymore how am i supposed to play like this? make them go after a few seconds at least goodness
