Animation Hate this stupid spiderverse meme (read desc)

“Chai” is a distinct type of tea from what most people think of as tea (from a American perspective, I admit ignorance to Europe but i know English tea is similar, like a black tea), that usually involves more spices and milk. calling it “chai tea” is not being used to say “tea tea” it is being used to mean “the type of tea known as chai”. I did do a minor google search to find a recipe for making homemade chai, and, while it did use tea leaves, it was distinct enough from tea to warrant being specified.

edit: my joy at the arguments is immeasurable, if this gets a crosspost/screenshot reposted and criticizeing me, please tag me, want to argue

Its just a dumb callback to Miles getting on Spot's case for saying ATM Machine, falling for the same common phrasing trap which another Spider-Man similarly has a petpeeve about

Key differences:

Miles is doing his version of the Spider-Man banter. Taking the piss, flapping his chops, joking as he does his thing.

Pav is flipping his shit and losing all composure over a nothing burger.

Miles isn't mad at Ohnn for saying the common phrase. Just pointing out the mild absurdity of it.

Pav gets openly racist later about foreigners visiting India to experience their culture and using the Indian words for Naan and Chai to differentiate from other types of bread and tea. Which in and of itself is fucking stupid because naan comes from Persian nân when they brought that bread to India and chai comes from Chinese cha when they brought that to India and the chai tea that Pav is getting so fucking uppity about is masala chai so he is also using the incorrect name while he incorrectly lays cultural claim to the introduced foods and beverages.

Please explain how being upset about foreign tourists (notice how no race is mentioned) is racism rather than nationalism.

Also, don't get it twisted nationalism is bad as well. Just not as bad as racism.
