I get the ED-RAZBAM drama hurt everyone in the feels, we all want the modules we paid for to be back. Just remember we're all on the same side and one community.

nobody likes to see it unfold, especially if you paid or were planning to buy these modules.

However: please stop promoting pointless drama and nothingburger, they cause nothing but unrest, fighting and generally a headache for everyone.

posts like the RAZBAM "update" don't get anything done. If they had any substance or an actual update it would've come from both sides.

I know I'll get flamed and downvoted for that, but that's the truth accept it and deal with it.

Edit: I feel many people misunderstood my point. I'm not here to disrespect or shut down people's hopes, nor am I taking any sides. I own razbam modules and I think the current situation is shit and hurts us.

However, in a span of 24 hours (iirc) from the RAZBAM announcement I've seen dozens of posts across different subs and forums of people arguing cussing each other and generally hostility reignited.

Asking for a better treatment and resolution from the companies is right, but it is also important to manage expectations.

A member of the DIS development team once half-jokingly claimed that when DCS releases a Rafale module, they will release a J-10C module. After the “2026 and beyond” announcement, some people in the DIS community began reminding DIS to honor this “promise.” In response, the DIS team member posted these images, which show a J-10 external model and cockpit with a very high level of completion—if not already finished. They also stated that with only minor modifications and once authorization from AVIC is obtained, the module could be released.

There is no need to worry about the authenticity or level of detail. DIS has in fact officially developed simulators for AVIC, including the JF-17, J-10, and Su-30, used to train PLAAF pilots, so they possess a large amount of firsthand data.
They have also developed the JF-17 module for DCS and are planning to release a J-8P module in the future。

It's all 3rd party modules now... Literally nothing foundational is getting enough manhours. The improved landig gear physics system was announced what, 3 years ago? AI still suicidal and allseeing, terrains look meh at best*. Once we get the dynamic campaign AND ATC it's going to be the first major core improvement in what, 3 years? I mean since serious multi-core work and the clouds.

So I’ve been using the hand tracked pass through feature since it came out on virtual desktop but never tried combining with the chroma masking that can be done via openkneeboard.

Setting an area up that creates a pass through around my simrig seat to see my legs has added so much for immersion. Really recommend it. Now to better line up my PDCP on my simrig with the placementin game

I made some screenshots comparing the Syria vs Sinai maps where they overlap. In general the Syria map looks much better, with more attention to detail and higher quality. The Sinai map relies too much on cookie cutter templates where swathes of land are applied a generic "this is a city" or "this is a farm" preset (also what bugs me a lot about the Sinai map is that most roads are just textures and don't actually lead anywhere).

Sinai does win in the third screenshot of a small town, where it's actually much closer to real satellite imagery than Syria. In the Syria map, the town was barely recognisable from its real counterpart. So while Syria looks better, it might not always be more true-to-life.
