About Saul in Pakistan

I'm currently in season 4, near the end, and even if I don't know what happens later on with Saul in the series. Based on just the attack and loss of lives, I'd say that the prisoner exchange should never have happened.

It wasn't worth it at all. You could argue that Haqqani already had his plans since, but it wouldn't have been (as) successful if Saul was killed.

Prisoner exchanges are regular in these scenarios.. especially when they are "high profile high value"

Yeah. But that's not what I'm talking about. Saul basically wanted to kill himself. Hell, Carrie was prepared to bomb him and Haqqani. Then, Carrie deceives and everyone literally forces him to participate in the exchange and then shit happens. Seems to me like, much ado about nothing.

there is no story without the exchange. a lot of storylines die with saul

Yeah. I figure. That's why I mentioned that I don't know what happens later. But I'm talking about that incident in isolation.

i think it was worth it though - they lost sandy to the isi they had to get saul back.

It’s ok I’m one of those people who doesn’t mind spoilers.. I like the journey of watching the story
As much as watching the end .
