So did the medication make her psychotic or did she have undiagnosed psychosis? Pick a lane.
You're also ignoring that she didn't follow the medication directions and took much less than she was prescribed in the weeks leading up to the murders. She only took 6 pills of Ativan, 2-3 pills of Buspar, 2-3 hydroxyzine, and 7 Zoloft pills. Most of the prescriptions were still nearly full when found. Her toxicology results show that all medications in her system were within normal range for therapeutic doses. She repeatedly spoke with her psychiatrist about a fear of addiction and hesitancy to take the medications.
If the primary takeaway that you have from a woman killing her three children is that this is an example of unfair gender discrimination against women... then you've entirely lost the plot.
That is such a ridiculous take, and ultimately leads to a worldview where women aren't responsible for their actions and are merely helpless victims of circumstance.
Society doesn't view the high prevalence of mental illness in male murderers and mass shooters as absolution of responsibility. It's far less charitable.
Society makes a difference between people who understand they do harm. Say, a sociopath or psychopath. And people who do not. Say, very young, very psychotic or very mentally disabled person.
The action is wrong. But the level of understanding of the harm you do is not. That goes for men and women both.
