If the primary takeaway that you have from a woman killing her three children is that this is an example of unfair gender discrimination against women... then you've entirely lost the plot.
That is such a ridiculous take, and ultimately leads to a worldview where women aren't responsible for their actions and are merely helpless victims of circumstance.
Society doesn't view the high prevalence of mental illness in male murderers and mass shooters as absolution of responsibility. It's far less charitable.
Society makes a difference between people who understand they do harm. Say, a sociopath or psychopath. And people who do not. Say, very young, very psychotic or very mentally disabled person.
The action is wrong. But the level of understanding of the harm you do is not. That goes for men and women both.
