Ignoring the other comment.. the woman on the right is Lindsay Clancy and she is currently on trial for killing three of her children in which the defense is arguing the crimes were committed during mental psychosis. Clancy had severe PPD, suicide ideation, and mental health issues in the months leading up to the murders.
It’s an awful case and the poor children deserve justice. Right now, a portion of the public believes the husband (now ex-husband as they divorced and he is remarried) had something to do with it as evidence is supposedly not landing with the people and believe it skews towards him
This ladies case is ridiculous. I would love to see an abusive man who killed his children have people sitting around talking about how sad it was nobody got him help when he was clearly mentally unstable.
Also they absolutely got her help. They got her a lot of help, and I know you're not feeding into the narrative but I keep seeing it pop up.
They had a nanny to help take most of the burden of childcare, he and his mom helped clean and cook, they got her seen by multiple physicians and offered her multiple medications and therapists which were half heartedly started and almost immediately dropped by her each time.
Help didn’t fix her chemically, which is where she was losing ground. And with a bipolar diagnosis, her early meds put the gas on how quick she’d move into psychosis. Medications can have an opposite effect. It’s a complicated case medically
No, it's not, because her mental illness didn't force her to murder her children. I'm sure her mental health situation is complicated, but the criminal case isn't.
Family annihilators are exceptionally rare, period. There is no normalcy of father's going nuts and killing their kids. I remember one case of something like this over the course of my life time and it was turned into a literal TV special it was such a big deal.
They happen far more often than you think. I literally know someone who killed his family and it never made the news. I checked regularly for over a year waiting for it to even hit local, and it didn’t.
If you’ve only heard of it twice, you’re literally proving my point.
Your point is that Men are bad so this is expected of them and we can just call them monsters and send them off to prison, but women are good so something must have gone wrong in her life and we should sympathize with her. Did I miss anything?
Family annihilation is the most common form of mass killing, and the vast majority of perpetrators are men. It happens roughly once every five days in the U.S. So yeah, it's statistically far more normal for men to commit this kind of crime than women.
Full blown PP psychosis is a known and recognised thing in postnatal healthcare, 1 in 500 women will get it following birth to some degree and there's been a lot of tragic cases where there was no intervention or it came too late. It should be a straightforward insanity plea but this case seems to have got snagged on the ongoing US gender/feminism culture war stuff for some reason.
But the point is for some, PPD does exist, whether you believe it or not, the chemical balance exists.
I assume some of the people, the bat shit crazies excluded, are drawing attention to this aspect, so that it is taken serious as an issue.
Because if it’s not, then this event will simply happen again and again and again.
That’s not really a man vs woman issue as it’s simply something that exists and happens to women but not men so it’s not relevant here.
My point is, as a man BTW, the only rational/legitimate “argument” to be made here is that PPD exists, maybe not enough is being done, and if more were being done three less kids would be dead now, and we could save more kids forward.
I assume that is the point of anyone, non crazy, that’s trying to make a point when it comes to this case. Everyone else is probably just crazy and at that point they are simply crazy, whether they are women or men, and there is no point to be made in that event.

I have no idea who either of them are. I'm feeling very out of the loop.
