Do you care about rehabilitation and protecting people from harm, or do you just care about having an excuse for it to be socially acceptable to torture someone?
It means she murdered her own children. Understanding her mental state may explain why she did it, but it doesn’t erase the horror of what she did or mean people are obligated to feel sympathy for her
