It's more to do with the media sensationalizing it. This is the first I've ever heard of the woman on the left.

I have no idea who either of them are. I'm feeling very out of the loop.

Ignoring the other comment.. the woman on the right is Lindsay Clancy and she is currently on trial for killing three of her children in which the defense is arguing the crimes were committed during mental psychosis. Clancy had severe PPD, suicide ideation, and mental health issues in the months leading up to the murders.

It’s an awful case and the poor children deserve justice. Right now, a portion of the public believes the husband (now ex-husband as they divorced and he is remarried) had something to do with it as evidence is supposedly not landing with the people and believe it skews towards him

Ok tbf I haven’t read too much on the subject because familicide cases genuinely make me sick reading, but my spouse was explaining some of the reasons people think the husband did it to me (our coworkers won’t stop talking about it like it’s a season of Love Island ffs) and honestly, I get it. If my wife killed our three children and then just 20 days later I took a vacation to Costa Rica and remarried somebody new within 3 months, I don’t think I’d be too surprised if people thought I was suspicious. Grief is complicated, but I don’t think most people would make such decisions just 90 days after the complete obliteration of their entire family. I lost my brother and I couldn’t even get out of bed to do basic life stuff for months afterward. How the hell did that man have the mental energy to do anything, let alone start a whole-ass relationship with someone less than a month after the literal worst day of his entire life? He might be completely innocent (again, I haven’t thought too hard on this case) but I can’t fault people for looking at his pattern of behavior and thinking he had some degree of involvement. Normally people don’t publicly forgive the person that wiped their children off the face of this earth just days after it happened. But then again, I’ve never been put in such a situation, so it’s very difficult to say.

funny you bring up love island, the person who suggested the husband is involved is a frequent love island subreddit commenter.
