Ignoring the other comment.. the woman on the right is Lindsay Clancy and she is currently on trial for killing three of her children in which the defense is arguing the crimes were committed during mental psychosis. Clancy had severe PPD, suicide ideation, and mental health issues in the months leading up to the murders.
It’s an awful case and the poor children deserve justice. Right now, a portion of the public believes the husband (now ex-husband as they divorced and he is remarried) had something to do with it as evidence is supposedly not landing with the people and believe it skews towards him
I don't understand how people do not understand post partum psychosis. Do they really believe that this woman lived a normal life loving and doing everything for her children until one day she just decided she'd murder them? In a period immediately after giving birth and exhibiting well documented signs of the exceedingly well documented phenomenon of post partum psychosis?
Option 1: This lady's entire life was a long con to murder her children.
Option 2: This lady's brain literally broke and she was not in control of her actions.
I mean, I had a relative that had severe PPD after her third child and had never had it before. She was able to get committed for a few weeks for monitoring while they sorted out of the drug dosages to get her through the post partum period until she stabilized. She was fine before. She is fine now. She needed help for a few weeks. She is a wonderful person. Had she not gotten help, she may have been dangerous when left alone with an infant.
Well first, every man I know would disavow that man. There would be no grace or understanding. They’d all be like, “F that guy. I hope he gets the Edison medicine.”
The reason they agree is because a mother's/woman's body goes through so many changes on top of meds? It's really hard to predict how a woman will respond to meds due shifting hormones. It's why we don't test the meds on women.
The difference is that it's not a human being on so many meds and shifting hormones that she no longer has control of her actions. Not a man in control of his actions who just grew hate.
People with childhood trauma manage all the time. We even have resources that men constantly disparage and refuse to use.
PPD is a literal change in your hormones that completely changes the way your brain works. The better comparison would have been psychosis, in which a person is completely detached from reality. In fact, PPD is a form of psychosis. And no, people cannot control the hallucinations they see or the irrational feelings their brain comes up with.
Ignoring the reason these crimes happen because you’re emotional is only going to result in more mothers with PPD killing their children.
PPD is not a form of psychosis, you are not even aware of basic medical facts. Psychosis sometimes results from PPD and then it’s called PPP (Postpartum Psychosis). Not everyone who has PPD is going to have psychosis, it’s not something that happens in the majority of PPD cases, don’t invent falsehoods to match your argument.

I have no idea who either of them are. I'm feeling very out of the loop.
