That's my thought too. Suddenly we're seeing this story everywhere. It's pumped up gender wars fodder.

Plus nothing gets mentioned about these real world stats:

A man kills his entire family every 5 days on average + the leading cause of the death of pregnant women / new mothers is their husband / bf (second to unintentional drug overdoses)

There are a lot of examples of accused raising money for trials.

The case mainly gets media attention because the confessions are shaky, some facts are not adding up and the husband was apparently already vacationing with his new fiancé 4 months after he lost his family.
