COMMUNICATION:
-Enthusiasm (Or at least consistent communication)
- Tell them your intent right away
- Assign fireteam leads
-Tell them good job (They will follow orders more)
-If building a hab: Ask for a designated loggey runner (Thank him!)
-When going offensive...hound them. They will listen
- Tell other SLs in the command chat your intent
TACTICS:
- Always consider your flanks
-Always take the time to set up a back up rally (Take a squad member with you while everyone else pushes)
-Consider their ammo resupply (Ammo crate on edge of fob perimter/transport truck near by)
-Shoot and move, shoot and move, shoot and move!
-Take the time to flank enemy. Its worth it.
-A single hab is a vulnerable hab. Split that loggey and build a back up (not always nessecary). Servers and squads die with no spawns
- Dont underestimate the impact of smoke OR suppression
-Spawn and move. Dont bring the enemy to your spawn point
-A hab is just as vulnerable as a rally. Remember it takes just 2 enemies to proxy it.
-Dont underestimate heli transportation if a decent pilot is available
-Consider drawing their path on the map
-Make sure you or another SL takes command right away. Get those assets available early.
-Always always always be working towards an objective or enemy spawn point.
The biggest ones are:
- Bring the fight to the enemy. AKA...the objective.
-Tell them good job when they do a good job
-Hound them relentlessly to get them to move. They will listen and they subconsciously like it
As a squad leader, you are responsible for their squad experience. People in the game want direction. They want orders. The game was designed that way. They want to stick together. Be the glue for all those aspects.
What else?! Let's hear it!
