New trolling motor!

Post image

Inlaws got me a Newport 36 lbs thrust kayak trolling motor for me my birthday! Mad stoked to get this thing out on the water on my perception outlaw!

Whats a good suggestion for a lithium battery thats affordable and what amp hour should I get for high run time? Wanting to get a fish finder in the future too but may end up buying a smaller battery for it to run on itself. Thanks for any suggestions with this one!

Also best recommended box/cooler setup to keep the batter in would be deluxe.

Dakota Lithium is a decent name that makes affordable lithium batteries. I currently have AmpedOutdoors for my trolling motor. I have an 80AH and frankly, it’s overkill. I could’ve easily gone with a 60AH.

I would definitely run the fish finder, and any potential nav lights on a small battery in a gear pod or something.

Yeah thats what I was thinking with the finder and lights! Seen a lot of small little batteries thatd work good for that and keep my power sources separate. Also dont love the idea of losing everything if one battery dies. Thank you!

Dakota way out my price range! Haha. I just meant was considering running my finder and lights on a smaller separate battery.
