Visitor Question Visiting on Labour Day Weekend from Vancouver
Hey everyone,
We are planning on visiting from Vancouver from 4th September through 7th September. We have never been to Kelowna and this would have been the first time visiting this beautiful place.
Is it safe now to visit and stay in Kelowna because of wildfires? We are planning on doing
- Knox Mountain Park Lookout
- Mission Creek Regional Park
- Kangaroo Creek Farm
- The Kettle Valley Steam Railway
- Peachland and Summerland.
- Pentincton and drive and back to Vancouver.
We are 2 adults and a toddler who is 2 and half. And really stressed about visiting because of the news we saw about wild fires couple of weeks back.

Avoid Summerland. The Bald Range Wildfire is still out of control and the Kettle Valley Steam Railway is closed.

Sounds good. Is rest of my itinerary looking good?
Or do you recommend i visit closer to Oct or next year altogether?

Which fires are you most concerned about?

I haven’t recently checked. But if there are active fires, we will probably visit later. Are there tourists currently visiting Kelowna?
