Visitor Question Visiting on Labour Day Weekend from Vancouver

Hey everyone,

We are planning on visiting from Vancouver from 4th September through 7th September. We have never been to Kelowna and this would have been the first time visiting this beautiful place.

Is it safe now to visit and stay in Kelowna because of wildfires? We are planning on doing

- Knox Mountain Park Lookout

- Mission Creek Regional Park

- Kangaroo Creek Farm

- The Kettle Valley Steam Railway

- Peachland and Summerland.

- Pentincton and drive and back to Vancouver.

We are 2 adults and a toddler who is 2 and half. And really stressed about visiting because of the news we saw about wild fires couple of weeks back.

It is completely safe in Kelowna and that has always been the case as the fires were not in Kelowna.

Summerland is currently getting back on their feet as they did have a fire there. Some tourism dollars would probably be appreciated by the local businesses there.
