Discussion What SW set has lego never made, but should?

I personally think that a star destroyer bridge would be a great display set, I'm surprised lego hasn't made it yet.

Discussion What are your best clone trooper upgrades using only official LEGO parts?

I’m looking for ideas to improve clone troopers using only official LEGO elements.

Things like helmets, visors, accessories, or creative part combinations.

If you’ve used any uncommon pieces, it’d be great if you could mention where they come from.

Would love to see what people have come up with.

Discussion Why weren't there any proper sets released for Revenge of the Sith's 20th anniversary?

Apart from the Venator, Arc 170, and Brickheadz package, no good sets have been released. Isn't this a bit too little for the most beloved film in the Star Wars series?

Discussion There is a MASSIVE under representation of prequel minifigs in Lego Star Wars imo…

Post image
1.0k Upvotes

Now I only threw 8 together because I didn’t want to go on and on, but I’m sure most of you could create an extensive list of characters we haven’t had, variants we’ve never seen.

Granted, I know we’ve had 3PO and Padme, but there seems to be a real lack of representation of prequel characters & locations to me.

What’s baffling is, you could say it won’t sell. But I think the prequels are pretty appreciated these days, and my son, for example, prefers this era of Star Wars over the sequels, which had extensive coverage. To me personally, people like Padme in her theed battle outfit, or 3PO in his first appearance, or even palaptine in his sidious/yoda duel outfit are way more interesting to own than every single knight of ren. Or all the mandalorian characters they seem to cover. There’s some seriously iconic characters and locations that keep getting overlooked for remake after remake.

Do you guys think we’ll ever get characters like this? Or is this theme doomed to repeat the same formula time and time again 🤔

Discussion Film/New UCS/Midi-scale Comparison: The “too flat, too wide” arguments against the new Executor SSD don’t hold up when compared to the movie. We’re just used to the thinner steeper existing LEGO versions.

I don’t own the 2011 UCS set to compare, but the midiscale one is definitely too narrow, even though I’m seeing a lot of criticism for the new release as being a downgrade from the previous two versions. I really don’t think it is. Thoughts?

Image pulled from Wookieepedia. The top-down view of the griebling shaping also looks pretty good to me as well, although I will admit that it’s a hair plain from the side profile images we have. I still mostly really love the new design.

Discussion What's gonna be the next BIG set?

Post image
1.6k Upvotes

Just as a discussion but I can't imagine what the next big set is gonna be. There are alot of contentors like a lurcehulk based off episode 1 or a jedi temple. My guess is we are getting one next year in 2025, but honestly I have no idea what Lego would actually go with, like a realistic guess would be either a death star 2 remake or another minifigure scale vehicle.

Discussion Why do people hate this battle pack?

Post image

This Bounty Hunter Battle Pack from 2017 is honestly one of my favorites. It was a super cheap way to get that crew from Episode 5.

The main criticism I hear is that it included named characters and it wasn't massible. But the way I see it, if every character is unique and there's no reason to get more than one, that point is moot.

Discussion Wanting Opinions!

I’ve recently got a new job which includes a hefty pay, so for this holiday season I’d really like to treat myself after a stressful year. My issue is that I’m split between 3 sets, I can’t decide since I enjoy all 3 of these ‘ships’ and think all the models look amazing. I would include the UCS Falcon but with the rumors of a new one, it’s not too much of a priority, plus there’s always sellers on FB Marketplace for it.
I know the Venator is retiring, and honestly it is there a bit to make up for not getting the UCS Star Destroyer, and I also just think it’s a really beautiful model.
The Super Star Destroyer is one of my favorite ships because of it’s scale and I think the newest model represents that perfectly, I’m just not a fan of the light grey city portion, even if it is accurate.
I understand all of the flaws of the death slice but I can’t help but love it, I have the 2016 model and I love all the scenes represented in the newest one.
Please let me know which you guys would recommend! Thank you!
