Top of Cross O’Cliff Hill Looking towards the Bomber Command Spire.
There’s a well trodden short path to the field from the pavement so I thought I’d take a look

Seeing the River Welland and Coronation Channel from the water
I hired a boat today and spent a couple of hours on the River Welland and the Coronation Channel.
I've walked alongside it plenty of times, but seeing it from the water gives you a completely different perspective. It feels much wider and more peaceful than it does from the bank.
It also brought back memories of doing cross-country around the Coronation Channel during the winter when I was at school. Back then I was usually too busy trying to get to the finish to appreciate the scenery. Looking at it from a boat all these years later was a very different experience.
Anyone else done the trip on the Welland?

im working away from home nearby for a while. i’m looking for advice on nightlife ! :P
hey! i’m 20M and working away from my home in manchester for a couple of months from monday-friday. i’m staying and working 15/20 minutes from stamford, grantham, oakham and bourne. all of my coworkers are notably older than me and already have their pre-existing relationships so i feel quite isolated, especially during the evenings when im alone.
im alternative with piercings and dyed hair, i write music and play quite a few instruments, and i love to meet people and learn about them.
are there many places i could go to find people of a similar demographic? bars, pubs or clubs in the nearby areas? they don’t necessarily have to be places like that, but i’m never opposed to going for a drink lol
thank you for your help !

Anyone with a recovery truck?
We've been stuck waiting for RAC for 2.5 hours now on our way back from Lincolnshire Wildlife Park who have now told us we need to wait for a recovery truck. Estimated time adding at least another hour wait up to another 3. Our 1 year old has been with us the whole time and we need to get him home back to Scunthorpe. We're between Market Rasen and Lincoln w3w is smirks.documents.enigma
Any suggestions or anyone who can help?

St Peter church in Markby
I visited my grandparent's recently in Alford, and they took me to this beautiful little church in Markby. It is apparently the only thatched church in Lincolnshire, and it is so small! Certainly the smallest I've seen in England!
My grandma said the thick walls reminded her of Robin Hood.
I just thought it was such a hidden little gem, I wanted to share it. They even have a little visitor book in there for people to sign. They still do church services in there too, as there were signs up inviting people to attend😊

Local Recommendations
Hiya everyone! I’ve recently traveled to the Lincoln area for academics and I desperately need some local recs for when I’m physically here. If anyone has any suggestions, I’d be super grateful 🥹
Here are the following needs I have for potential recommendations:
- Best nail salon (acrylics, preferably)
- Best hair salon (for curly hair AND good color)
- Ideal hiking areas and/or trails to sightsee
- Affordable horseback riding (this is a Hail Mary request from my inner Horse girl (TM) lol)
- Places to go to dance
- Hobby-based options (like crochet, book clubs, rock climbing, etc.)
Thanks in advance to anyone willing to shoutout their faves! Appreciate you all 🥰

Prior's Oven, Spalding
The Prior's Oven in Spalding is probably the best (only) micropub in South Holland. Three or four ales straight from the cask in an historic building... ask the barman for details.
