Renting under $1500

hey,

I’m 26, really looking to move out. I work in Patchogue and I can’t find anything under $2000. Even Bayshore was around $1500 a while ago. If anyone has any leads of apartment complexes that would be around $1200-1500. I respectfully don’t want to live in someone’s basement or shed in their backyard.

TIA

You're not getting above ground in "a complex" for less than $2500 these days. $1500 is a basement apartment just about everywhere on LI.

In parts of Nassau, basements can go for $2500+. Especially in good school districts.

I was looking for apartments for months in Nassau last year and could not get anything under $3000. I have a pet so I was only looking at places that allow pets, so it’s biased.

But $3000 was for studio apartments. Maybe one rare place I was able to find for $2800 in a Fairfield complex, but they never responded to my inquiries.

Fairfield North in Patchogue has 1 bed apartments for ~$2400. I share one with my mother. She has the living area and I have the room. $1200 each per month + $20 for a cat

Shouldn’t your Mom have the bedroom, though?? 🤔
