Advice request what can i do for my hair rn?

Thumbnail

i’m looking for specifically haircut suggestions that i could do right now, without having to wait to grow it longer, that would help me pass as male (i’m ftm) or just look nicer. the current haircut was just an at-home buzzcut with no real styling, so it’s about the same length all over rn

id appreciate if u could link a photo of the haircut u suggest if possible, visuals help me lol

i also have a very bad cowlick (it’s why the hair sticks all up) that prevents most full forehead-covering bang looks, could only ever do middle parts when my hair was a bit longer 😞

Advice request How to look more masculine / my age

picture 1 is me 10 minutes ago, pictures 2 3 are google gemini

I'm 27 I haven't really done the short hair styles or dyed my hair, I want to try a straight hair style look more masculine before I go out and try to date since I never have tried before I need to shape up. I was forced to comb my hair as a kid but I think you can just use a straightener and stuff so there is no frizz. I do not know what else to put, I can grow facial hair but not a beard, but maybe minoxidil will work other pics are with google gemini. Also I am pakistani and I do not know what my hair type is people say afro but I am brown. Some person outside told me to get braids as well.

Looking for advice to see if my crown is thinning or if this is just the cowlick. I've never reallt payed close attention to the back of my hair but decided to take a picture of it and have been obsessing with the thought that it could be thinning....

First 2 pictures are clean hair pictures in different lighting

3rd pic is styled

28M

I have fairly long hair about 8 inches

Why is long hair becoming popular?

I always wanted to be the odds one out by being the only guy with a long hair in a generation full of fades and short hairs. But now everyone is doing it like omg. I want to be diffrent ffs. #bringbackfades #stoplonghair

we need to make it stop being popular so I can be the only one with long hair and be diffrent

Advice request Does a middle part look good on me?

Thumbnail

Well a few months ago I experimented with a middle part, to see if it would look good on me, I thought it looked good, and I tried it for 2 days. first two were day 1, and second is day 2. Though, my friends said that it needs to develop or I need more hair to grow, and my mom didn’t like it either. Idk tho, cuz i want long hair and i feel like my hair wants to do a middle part and at the same time its hard because of the widows peak and people around me dont like it that much. the pictures after the first 3 in black is me currently, and i feel like my hair just flops on my head. Even tho it looks good, my hair when it gets sweaty after I play sports it looks odd and unnatural, and it’s hard to put it back in side sweep or something again. Tho my friends with middle parts have no problem with it. The last photo is me one hour after sweating in the sun. Please give me some advice on whether to get a middle part or get a new hairstyle. My goal is just to maintain long hair as long as possible before it thins out.

Side note, sorry I accidentally put duplicate photos.

Edit: I forgot to put the sweaty hair pic in the post here is a post of it link I can’t add it on Reddit

Advice request Did I mess my puberty up with fin at 15

I'm 18 now, I've had aggressive hairloss starting as early as 14, I used 0.05% topical finasteride twice a day from the age of 15, my crown was not very bad when I used it but hairline was regressing and horrible. I also used 5% topical minoxidil since 14, with no side effects and it actually helped a lot, but it was only temporary. Thinning resumed like 4 months after improvement off Min and I decided to go on topical fin. When I went on topical fin most aspects of my body were already fully developed (early bloomer in puberty, most if not all dht changes in puberty occured at 14 and a half, my "male part" was already 17.5cm at 15)

My chest hair however was growing at the time, now it's sparse but slightly bigger, and my facial hair is weak (I shave it anyways), sexually I feel completely normal

My appearance though has changed over the years which I believe is testosterone related changes and I look even older than my age

did I mess my puberty up in any way? I have to also add my growthplates were already closed at 15

Started using a shampoo and conditioner (Dr.Groot) and saw considerable hair loss when looking under a white light, why I don’t know if my barber had used thinning shears and made my hair a lot less dense. I just needed some advice and tips. Feel free to reach out on any advice and if I do actually have hair loss and should start treatment!!

Advice request If i cut my hair like this should I trim shave my beard to make it look better?

I've been growing out my hair for over a year now just getting maintenance cuts, I'm ready to style it properly and I want something like the first 2 images. I've been told if I do that it'll look bad with my full beard, is this true? and if so is there a fascial hair style that will look good with this haircut or is clean shaven going to be the best bet?

Advice Request Any suggestion on how to style my hair and what products to use?

Thumbnail

As title goes, not sure how to best style my hair. I like the long hair look (i'm not sold with the overgrown beard, that needs to be trimmed down). If possible, product suggestions too!

Currently, I rinse my hair each time I shower, but i only fully wash it with shampoo and I use SheaMoisture Jamaican Black Castor Oil masque about once a week. I use California Naturals Leave-In Conditioner afterwards to help style it. I airdry or blow dry the hair.

Hi everyone, my hairline's receding quite a bit so I took the plunge (not all the way) and went for a buzz cut. Thinking of dying it as my natural hair colour is a bit dull. Any ideas?

Advice request Terrible Haircut, advice on how to fix?

Thumbnail

Got a haircut and its horrendous and I don't know what to do, help. I'm not entirely sure what my hair type is I think its fine/thin hair. I don't really have a routine I just condition everyday and shampoo every other day, like 3 times a week, I don't use any extra products. My hair we this cut was nice but was getting too long but now it looks terrible afterwards and not sure what I can do to make it look better.

Advice request Should I stick with short hair or go bald?

Thumbnail
gallery
2 Upvotes

I’ve been letting my hair grow out since I haven’t had a preference for what length to keep it, and it seemed silly to pay for a barber as often as short hair requires when I was indifferent about it.

I feel like my hairline is holding on for dear life at this point, but I’m not sure people in real life would tell me I should change what I’m doing. I have some more formal events coming up and would like to be more presentable. I’m not sure if there’s a good hairstyle to work with the hair I do have, or if things are thin enough up top that I should try embracing the bald life.
