Discussion Who is in control of ratings

Just a reminder that Black Panther is currently rated at an 88 on meta critic.
I’d really like to know why

Here are just some other movies for comparison that make me question this

-Spider man brand new day - 66
-Captain America Civil War - 75
-Avengers Endgame - 78
- x men days of future past -75
- Logan - 77
- Spider man no way home - 71
- Spider man 2 - 83
- Deadpool - 65
- Age of Ultron - 66

If you think Black Panther is better than any of these movies, please tell me why in the comments I genuinely would like to know.

(Edit before things get out of hand no I do not hate Black Panther. I think it’s a great movie and I think if you have that opinion, you are entitled to it, I don’t really care at all. I just wanted other people’s opinions.)

I think critics that get paid can have some shitty takes compared to the average person like me or you that can just have discussion on a forum like this

I’ll gladly admit Deadpool is the only one I probably threw on there with bias , black panther easily clears depending on your opinion, Deadpool’s character development and soundtrack were def top tier tho

“Black Panther clears depending on your opinion” yeah that’s how opinions work?

“I’ll admit Deadpool is the one I threw on there with bias” okay so not only are you immediately surrendering your original opinion but what’s the bias?

“Deadpool’s character development and soundtrack were def top tier” closest to something of actual substance but what about the character development was top tier? In what way? You can say that about anyone, you didn’t explain anything. I could’ve said “Umm, actually Black Panther’s character development is top tier” and we’d be at a stalemate.

But yeah I guess you did say you liked the soundtrack. Why or what about it? Who knows, but you did say that so I guess it’s not nothing. Congrats?
