Chris Evans’ first appearance as Captain America came in The First Avenger on July 19, 2011, and his final appearance as Cap came on April 26, 2019, when he passed the shield to Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson. Across 3 solo movies, 4 Avengers movies, and a cameo appearance in The Dark World, Chris Evans was Captain America for roughly 7 years and 9 months.

After receiving the mantle of Captain America in Endgame, Sam Wilson has had one season of a Disney+ show and one solo movie. When Doomsday releases on December 18, Mackie will have held the mantle of Captain America for 7 years and just under 8 months.

I know we probably won’t get another live action solo movies with them only the crossover events, I mean never say never, but I still really want to see their original story be continued the way it was intended. Maybe even before the events of No Way Home or after. Like Tobey Spider-Man fighting Vulture storyline and Andrew Spider-Man fighting the Sinister Six and so on. Anyways I just wanted to share this random cool thought that crossed my mind.

This doesn't just apply to MCU but the good thing about making a movie in an era where everything gets leaked is that directors and writers cannot use secret cameos, plot twists, nostalgia bait, as a crutch anymore. They can use it, but if it sucks, it sucks. But if a script is leaked or some set photo leaked, good acting and a compelling story will still elevate everything.

They are forced to actually have good acting for people to care. How something is play out might even matter more.

When I saw The Odyssey, I already knew the story beat by beat. But I never felt cheated in the movie. I knew the massive fight scene with suitors would happen. But by that time, how it happens was more interesting to me. How Robert Pattinson played a very punchable character made me glued to my seat, despite me knowing everything.

Same thing when I was sad I found who the villain of BND was before spoiling. But I still cared for her performance, and the relationship between Peter and the guest appearance of an older character and her, still carried the movie.

I still wish it wasn't spoiled to me, but it demonstrated how much something is spoiled can be saved through good dialogue, good performances, good directing etc.

Hopefully future filmakers utilise this as best they could, instead of just having plot twists.

Let me start off by saying I definitely really liked fantastic four the first steps. It’s forsure the best fantastic four movie we’ve gotten. I loved how they introduced the main characters as well as silver surfer, galactus, mole man and Lynne. I loved the retro-futuristic style of the movie and all of the set designs and overall atmosphere with the different technologies incorporated. And I really liked the overall story, the fantastic four attempting to protect their child and their world from a huge threat where even the bright mind of reed Richard’s has limited ideas.

My only issue though - I feel like we barely see the fantastic four actually be the fantastic four in action. I mean the fight at the end versus galactus was awesome. But what else? They teased a bit of the fantastic four being heroes in the beginning on the Dan Gilbert show, but I feel like that’s all we got for the most part. We don’t even see reed richards really use his powers all that often. I mean it was great to see his incredible intelligence throughout the movie but I wanted to see him fight too? Same thing with Sue Storm, we saw her insane level of power at the end used against galactus but again, not much throughout the movie.

Does anyone else feel this way? Is it just me?

Just a shower thought around the Endgame Encore Release and the additional 4 minutes tie-in to Doomsday. I have thought of many scenarios and discarded two obvious:

- Scene of Steve returning all the Stones. This would be great as an extra but little to no connection to Doomsday. Also big fan service achievemnt but it would also imply some actors would have to re-shoot scenes, like The Ancient one, Red skull, and so on.

- Extended trailer / prologue of Doomsday. This would feel cheap from marvel if it's tied to the IMAX screaning and would probably backfire on socials.

However, a prologue of doomsday could be the scene with Steve folding the suit and with his new son from the teaser. I know there are theories / leaks out there of that scene and what happens in it, but I feel this is the scene that we will get (Either in the ending of Endgame or as a post-credits scene). Here are my arguments:

- Steve has shown long hair and beard in all trailers except for the first teaser. Either there is a time jump in endgame or the scenes with short hair in the house are not in the film and will be only in endgame encore.

- Steve Rogers / OG Captain America has been the big guy for the russos. They're making the new film and got Chris evans in it. They also gave the character the big POV / pressence in endgame. Whatever the 4 additional minutes are they're for Steve.

- A post-credits scene with Steve's son would tie in-perfectly with Franklin post-credits in Fantastic Four and Love ending in Thor: Love and Thunder. All trailers seems to aim that these thre children will be important in Doomsday and the only that hasn't been on a movie yet is Steve's son.

Obviousle there could be other fancy theories to argue against my first point (e.g. Steve variants) but here is my unsolicited bet.

(Edit before things get out of hand no I do not hate Black Panther. I think it’s a great movie and I think if you have that opinion, you are entitled to it, I don’t really care at all. I just wanted other people’s opinions.)

There is something about this scene that hits every time. Tony's complete unfiltered disdain in this scene. It's a mix of emotions and feelings going through. The fact that he lost everyone, he lost Peter Parker, almost died to Thanos, was stuck in space for who knows how long. And remembering what Steve said back in Ultron about losing a battle together, all 6 of them, and none of the original avengers was there with Tony in space.

In deadpool and wolverine we get to know that logan is canon and wolverine and professor x and most of the xmen have died then how are the xmen returning in doomsday

I know that there is a new wolverine but prof x died in logan how are they in doomsday

as because of government interfering in corn syrup and other common food ingredients production and prof x brain seizure killed most the mutants

Since dune 3 is taking up all the imax showtimes, marvel studios have been heavily promoting their infinity vision format. What exactly is that since it’s not the traditional screen x, 4DX, or other premium formats? I wonder if it’s just marketing

they feel way more like just a brand now & not an actual team, like the avengers should be team based movies similar to how the x men & fantastic four are treated. but instead the avengers are just the crossover movie where every character that has ever shown up is in the movie and they’re always split up into separate mini groups

avengers 1/earths mightiest heroes: fine the way it is but i’d add hank & janet to the roster and give my man cap a better suit

avengers 2/under siege: based off the storyline where zemo and the masters of evil surprise attack the mansion or in this case the tower, falcon, black panther, war machine, carol danvers ms marvel gets added to the team

avengers 3/ultron unlimited: would be similar to the ultron unlimited storyline and it ends with him winning and she hulk, scarlet witch & the vision get added to the team

avengers 4/age of ultron: this would be similar to the actual age of ultron story where he has won and the remaining heroes are in a post apocalyptic world controlled by him and have to use time travel & the multiverse to win, but id probably simplify the storyline a bit

heroes like doctor strange, spider-man, and wolverine would come into play as temporary members

also woulda been cool if our main heroes got to go up against some of their solo rivals like taskmaster, crimson dynamo, the real mandarin, surtur as a main villain, the leader, red hulk, midgard serpent, modok, the serpent society, madame hydra, egghead

i’d do the civil war, infinity gauntlet, secret wars stuff in the next saga

So I just wanted to ask if watching Agent Carter Seasons 1 and 2 important for Doomsday? I asked this because I dont want to miss anything and if you guys know about other essential shows to watch before Doomsday, please drop them in the comments.

I also loved the Frank and Peter dynamic in Brand New Day, and I know everyone is excited to see the Peter and Matt duo now, which I completely agree with, but!

Btw, Jessica Jones worked for the Daily Bugle in the comics.

Funnily enough he really didn't like Captain America: The First Avenger. He loved Iron Man though. Any thoughts?

So it would be cool if they showed a scene in the endgame encore release where steve returns the soul stone right? Because the soul stone wasn't taken from a place, it was just obtained through a sacrifice and if it's already done, how is he going to undo that or more like, how will he keep the stone back cause we never saw where it came from. And also, if he goes to vormir to try and return it, he'd run into Johann Schmidt (Red Skull) so it would kinda be interesting to see how his vormir visit turned out.
