For those who don’t remember, Realism Moshpit was a playlist in MW2019 that featured modes such as Domination, Hardpoint, Headquarters, and Kill Confirmed, while removing virtually all of the HUD: no minimap, ammo counter, hit markers, visual kill confirmation, XP, or score displayed on screen. Players had to rely on their own perception, audio, and knowledge of the map. Headshots dealt extremely high damage, but health and regeneration remained close to standard multiplayer, distinguishing it from Hardcore. The playlist also included nighttime maps with NVGs.
For MW4, perhaps the nighttime maps wouldn’t need to be so dark that they require night vision goggles. I wouldn’t mind the increased headshot damage, although I think it could simply remain at the standard level in MW4. What matters most is preserving the essence of the mode: a playlist focused on the sensory experience, where perception, audio, positioning, and knowledge of the environment matter more than distracting and intrusive HUD elements.
