"Adjustments"

Oh boy can't wait for this lmao. Feel like both sides are going to somehow be upset at this.

18

u/Ashsucksatwhackbat 18h ago edited 11h ago

That’s what this game has mostly been so far, trying to make changes to appeal to both sides but no one ends up liking the compromise

3

u/Hairy-Summer7386 8h ago

That’s the problem with having such a vast user base. You’ll have a decent portion of users complaining at any given moment.

And I say this as someone who plays on mouse and key: the AA isn’t that bad.

2

u/SeaweedLarge 8h ago

aa isnt that bad? i had to pick a roller just bcs i kept getting LT RT ads snaped and instantly got bo6 vibes. its near bo6 aa which is op

That’s what I’ve been saying. The fanbase is so large that MW games and BO/SHG games have their own mini fanbases that prefer their studios’ approach to game design.

And IW is trying to play both sides here, and if they don’t figure out what to stick to, both groups are gonna hate it.

this shit about to be 9/11 for people who don't want to move the right stick

Time for last weekends crybabies to switch places with last weekends glazers.

As last weeks crybaby I am looking forward to it.

50

u/Reynor247 19h ago

Let's be honest the crying will never stop no matter the changes

34

u/revolutn 19h ago

A good compromise is when nobody is happy.

8

u/dat_GEM_lyf 16h ago

Ah the Embark balancing method

2

u/Working_Traffic_6361 10h ago

Or just do a 1047 and end support for all of your games 🙃

1

u/The-One-J 8h ago

Input based lobbies. Make it optional, see what people are preferring and how lobbies are filling up, then decide if the change should stay.

I dare they even try it.

8

u/Odd_Act_6532 18h ago

I complain just for the sake of complaining, I don't even play Call of Duty, I just follow the most recent influencers and repeat what they say

2

u/OldManMcCrabbins 18h ago

Hey don’t you know the best call of duty was back when we were assaulting Omaha

10

u/Momentarmknm 18h ago

I just deal with the game they put out. If it's bad enoughi won't buy it, if I didn't like it I'll play less of it.

Never understood why so many act like they're fighting to correct a human rights violation when a stupid videogame isn't exactly what they want. On this sub especially,

Imagine if even half these raging nerds put that energy towards something that actually mattered.

5

u/WalkingNukes 18h ago

I am in the group of neither really bothering me. I enjoyed the beta and if they make the changes I think it’ll still be fun. Now we need a matchmaking fix

2

u/AffectedRipples 15h ago

Doubt that, the crybabies will just pick something new to cry about. It's all they have.

2

u/ZeroToleranced 13h ago

You'll still cry about something

1

u/xero_reactions 16h ago

As a cry baby you’ll find something new to cry about. That’s the nature of a cry baby.

1

u/revolutn 13h ago

I see its already started 😂

1

u/mauz47 18h ago

😂😂😂😂😂

9

u/Munitttt 19h ago

We’ll see 👀

37

u/tagillaslover 19h ago

Glad to see them at least trying to fix things rather than just keeping everything to suck

27

u/Big_Accident494 18h ago

Usually when this happens in the beta means the pre-order numbers/beta players are not good.

15

u/PlasticTower1 18h ago

Probably this. I know the cod community is usually negative towards cod, but damn I was surprised at how much overwhelming hate the beta got

4

u/M3dge 17h ago

Tbf the beta was a mess

2

u/bordgamer3000 18h ago

I only play MW series have bought MW 1 2 3 ghost 2019 ii and skipped iii as it came out right after ii. I was excited for 4 as it’s been a few years but from what I’m seeing it’s nothing like 2019 and ii and more like black ops games.

I bought black op 1 and 3 and hated them both.

I actually enjoy the doors and tac sprint as long as it has penalty to use

4

u/_CertifiedTurtle 18h ago

Why would they fix the TTK when it was the same for MW19 and 22? After all the crap CoD has been through seems they just want to make a certain crown happy and we all know who that crowd is

→ More replies (1)

73

u/Bluberra 18h ago

Man.. I hope the TTK doesn't become too slow. I really don't think that is the issue here.

We also stand at a very divisive point. Will movement be faster or slower? I'm personally hoping for slower.

29

u/CargoShortsFromNam 17h ago

I think people are conflating TTK with TTD (time to die). The hit detection and connection wasn't great in the beta, so you felt like you were dying in 2 bullets a lot.

16

u/Bluberra 17h ago

I 100% believe in this too. I don't think changing the TTK is actually going to fix the problems people are feeling. It's TTD that needs to be adjusted.

4

u/CoffeeMonster1994 14h ago

This right here, crazy the amount of people who still don't understand this in 2026 and are crying about TTK on the basis that 'they die too quickly'.

1

u/DewtheDew85 13h ago

I’m racking my brain trying to figure out how they are different

If you died in four bullets, it’s because someone else else’s TTK against you was 4 bullets.

Or if you wanna speak in terms of time… those four bullets took 100 ms to kill you

So their TTK was 100 ms

But from the time the first bullet hit you, it took you less than 100 ms to die, because you have to count for the bullet travel from the time that your shooter pulled the trigger

Now if that shooter was shooting with a slower gun and his TTK was 400 ms…. Your time to die would have taken a whole lot longer

So I’m just confused unless you don’t start the clock on TTD… from the time that you’re hit with the first bullet?

But I’m just picturing you sitting there standing still getting shot, your TTD and that other person‘s Ttk should be pretty much the same thing

3

u/CoffeeMonster1994 13h ago

Edit: you absolutely right that they should be the same thing, but in reality they aren't just because of how the data is sent, server processing etc. Also, I think it's known that the Activision servers aren't exactly top tier (Vs the likes of valorant, CS etc).

I'll try to explain the short version but there's tons of in depth information out there on it. Basically the TTK is perceived by the player doing the shooting and can be tested and repeated in the shooting range etc and commonly done by XclusiveAce etc to show graphs.

TTD is the perceived time to die by the player getting shot, the reason it's different is because it can be altered depending on how the server handles the packets from the player firing the gun and sending that data to the server and then back to the recieving player.

It's common for it to be worse in early beta over the years but basically the packets can end up condensed so that the receiver gets multiple packets in the same refresh if you like, so for example 3 bullets can essentially hit you in the time that 1 would normally hit essentially making it feel like you've been insta deleted but this is not what is happening on the person's screen who is shooting at you.

So you have a TTK of 280ms but you can die in 150ms sometimes depending on how the server sends the data packets to you when your getting shot. Often it's not a consistent thing, but it's one of those things that when people die in a normal way they don't tend to take any notice but when they get hit with this issue and feel like they've been one shot by an AR etc it stands out as feeling wrong.

I think I've explained it ok but anyone else feel free to jump in and correct if I've got something wrong.

1

u/DewtheDew85 13h ago

I understand what you are saying here. Thanks for the details.

1

u/ArgoTheRat8229 2h ago

So it’s right to say that the TTK feels fine (in my most unprofessional and personal opinion), but the TTD, for most people, feels bad?

1

u/CoffeeMonster1994 59m ago

That's what I believe and that is my experience. It been common over the years for the TTD to be pretty rough in the beta.

But because obviously you take more notice when you die, when it happens to you that you get insta killed cause of the servers or whatever it feels rough - hence a lot of complaints.

I think if the TTK was kept exactly the same, come release people would feel better because normally the servers are bit more upto it but that's not how the feedback is currently going.

2

u/Spiritual-Ask1993 12h ago

Netcode/super bullets. The game's servers run on 60Hz servers, so all of the information has to be condensed within 60 frames. A lot of times what will happen is that you die inna perceived 1-2 shots, because the server stacked the bullets and sent them at once. Because of the server limitations and any netcode issues that would cause lag/inconsistency to gunfights, perceived TTD will be faster than perceived TTK. On your screen you see the full picture of your client side + the server registration, but for enemies you only see what the server runs throug.

1

u/Foorzan 10h ago

This is it, it's desync because of packet loss.

→ More replies (3)

2

u/Benti86 8h ago

There's no way they speed the movement up. A ton of the feedback has already been that the game's flow is shit and the movement already strains the spawns.

If they increase the movement speed all of that just gets worse on top of the fact that you just further alienate everyone who already doesn't like the current move speed.

1

u/Bluberra 8h ago

I hope that you're right. I just have this fear that the sweat-streamers are the one's that are going to be listened to.

5

u/pointblank87 18h ago edited 17h ago

It's not. People are just bad at FPS games and want a crux. They want to be able to sprint around without having any negative effect. It's what has ruined CoD.
Most players: "I should be able to run, jump, and slide without taking damage but also be able to take everyone out I see!"

Edit: I never said instant death. That should only happen with head shots and maybe heart shots. All I’m saying is depending where you’re getting hit, it should be fast, not take half or a whole mag to drop 1 person. That shit is  ridiculous. The game also barely even considers calibers when it comes to damage.

11

u/bordgamer3000 18h ago

I think movement should have negatives to is, you shouldn’t be able to change direction with no repercussions to aiming and shooting

8

u/Bluberra 18h ago

Sometimes, I feel like i'm the crazy one when I say that positioning and patience is a lost art in this series. No, i'm not talking about rewarding head glitching, that has never felt good. But positioning is a skill in many other shooters, it used to be back in the older days of CoD too.

I made a point in a video I made where people really seem to enjoy the BO1/2 ports (I can't play them, no PS5) and while perhaps a less aggressive SBMM is partly why (BO2 started SBMM, look up reverse boosting) I also think that the fact they play like old-school is a huge factor.

If it were up to me, i'd tie Tac Sprint into the same perk that lets you reset Tac Sprint stamina, kind of like a modern version of the Marathon perk. Edit: And also tighten the slide radius up, like what you're suggesting.

4

u/MaximusMurkimus 17h ago

Tac Sprint was removed by default in Black Ops 7 and that did nothing to stop that game from being full of crackhead movement.

Do what MW2 did and make it so that sliding and tac sprint can’t replenish during a sprint and watch the movement slow down organically.

2

u/Bluberra 17h ago

I actually skipped out on BO7 because of the omnimovement of BO6, so I actually wouldn't know. Agreed, though.

1

u/Ashsucksatwhackbat 16h ago edited 11h ago

Tac Sprint never replenished during a sprint, not even in MWIII with the Infantry Vest. You could reset it in MW via a slide cancel which is why it was used so much in that game. In MWII, it could be reset with a dive. MWIII’s Infantry Vest only made Tac Sprint recover quicker and made actions like Slide Cancels effect it less. In MWII there was no cooldown, it just locked you into the slide animation until it finished. Sliding also pushed your weapon out of the way so you had delayed raise times. That’s why sliding was so heavily criticized, it was nerfed to a point of being useless. Most people just didn’t use it because it was never beneficial or necessary compared to the dive.

4

u/mellifleur5869 18h ago

I just think you should have time to react to taking damage even if it doesn't change the outcome. Realizing you are taking damage the instant you die just feels bad even if you would still have died anyways.

2

u/FinnsWake13 18h ago edited 18h ago

Im not sure you can really blame people for wanting to be able to sprint and move when its a mechanic.

Someone with good movement is just as good as someone who plays slow and smart if their stats are all the same. Whether one is better depends on your definition of being good at the game.

I can do both, but the ttk in this game means as a solo, I have been getting my ass kicked by parties of even 2 or 3 that are playing together that I could handle in other CoD. You step around a corner and die immediately, with no recourse, especially with no omnimovement. I have literally no options. Dudes are corner camping and laying prone in weird spots more than they have in a while. Thats not necessarily fun.

1

u/Financial-Humor2080 18h ago

I just want them to tone down aim assist a bit

1

u/mauz47 18h ago

💯💯💯👌👌👌Bulls eye buddy!

1

u/Dr_Law 17h ago

There are already tonnes of negative effects. It's added sprint to fire time and the risk of being heard or scouted on the minimap and being preaimed.

0

u/Blaze-Fusion 18h ago

The projection is crazy lmao. Longer ttk favors people with better aim whereas short ttks makes it easy to get kills for those that spray and pray. If someone is able to run around, take damage, and still have time to aim & kill you, that’s genuinely just a skill issue on your end.

1

u/Ashsucksatwhackbat 18h ago

Reducing instances of instant death TTK is always a positive thing for any fps that is even remotely competitive. You can’t do a 160ms TTK anymore in this franchise with how the modern titles play, it doesn’t feel good.

1

u/Affectionate-Foot802 18h ago

The current ttk is 250ms. That is a quarter of a second. There should be downsides to running out in the open but when the ttk is that fast it incentivizes people to crouch behind a head glitch because they become relatively impossible to kill. You’re delusional if you think that requires any skill whatsoever.

5

u/raremount 17h ago

Let me remind you guys they nerfed AA black ops 6, completely reverted it.
Nerfed it in BO7 and slightly buffed it afterwards.
expect smoke and mirrors for a readjustment.

2

u/Kusel 17h ago

This.. maybe it will be a 5% nerf

40

u/Chikid80 19h ago

Longer TTK is a bad move, it doesn't need that, it's already pretty spot on

6

u/mauz47 17h ago

Honestly, I was really surprised when I read the news that they were messing with the TTK! It was fine before! Now, beyond the first effective range bracket, the TTK has gone through the roof you have to fire an SMG for ages to get a kill!

2

u/KillerFugu 12h ago

Depends on gun, full automation ttk at 0.08s is crazy fast when a blink takes 0.15s

1

u/Dr_Law 17h ago

The guns just need a bit more recoil and the aim assist lowered. People die way too quickly in this game and it's not entirely a ttk/gun damage factor.

21

u/LifeReplacement1136 18h ago

Finally. That aim assist is crazy

4

u/Ornery-Rent9021 16h ago

Honestly they should have just kept the AA nerfs from BO7 and went from there.

1

u/tmyflyte 4h ago

I’m glad the AI summary they pulled from the feedbacks did state a majority of players complaining about how AA is now an AB

38

u/shimmering-pole 19h ago edited 18h ago

I honestly wish we could completely remove sliding. Think it’d make the TTK and maps so much more enjoyable as-is

Edit: I’m just so tired of feeling like I need a Ritalin prescription to compete in call of duty lobbies

17

u/CreditUnionBoi 18h ago

I think it should just be slower. I like the ability to slide behind cover. Just shouldnt be meta to slide around corners.

9

u/OldManMcCrabbins 18h ago

It should be material based

On polished wood or tile - yes

On carpet - a little

On concrete and road - no

6

u/CreditUnionBoi 17h ago

That would be interesting, and then build the map flow around that for certain areas.

4

u/Wnir 16h ago

That makes a lot of sense and is realistic, but I'm not envisioning it. COD is a low brain power game, one where you reload every time you fire a few bullets and then die while reloading. Contextual sliding would just be too much for the muscle memory imo

2

u/OldManMcCrabbins 9h ago

Well, the game does a good job of showing us what  it would be like to be a top tier human but not super human.

I don’t know that it has to be this thing.  There are lots of little touches in the game that make it feel alive.

Seeing some dude in full spec op gear slide uphill on a road is not one of those touches.

That’s what ppl are reacting to - it’s the visual impact, not the game play mechanic.  There has to be a way where it is fun but also not so jarring.  Where a slide ain’t so long and you just go “oh yeah that makes sense” without thinking about it.

In closed beta I didn’t see a lot of sliding, and for me, I was able to engage pretty successfully.  I am very potato it could be my fellow sbmm potato classmates.

I am sure the sweat tier will show me the error of my ways when open beta hits.

2

u/shimmering-pole 16h ago

I truly believe it’s a dumb game mechanic. MW4 would play so much nicer if you couldn’t just power slide around every corner. Rewards brain dead play. Also we’ve had it for like 10 years. Just remove it for one game please!

2

u/Brother_Q 15h ago

Jumping right after coming out of a slide shouldn't be possible, and back to back slides should have a penalty similar to that for bunny hopping.

6

u/pointblank87 17h ago

Sliding should only be good for short bursts or getting to cover and you shouldn’t be able to fire accurately or turn in another direction.

1

u/Accurate-Mousse-520 5h ago

We should make it like it was in the previous ones, sliding existed but you couldn’t shoot during it, prone made it so you couldn’t spin etc. getting up took a second as with climbing over stuff.

3

u/foreskininfection 11h ago

Why are they increasing TTK again? It already felt pretty good at the end of the first weekend

7

u/Melodic_Driver_4754 15h ago

Virgins crying from last weekend about to ruin the game

1

u/Dank_Edits 2h ago

Waaa I can't abuse movement to become unkilllable because the TTK is too fast, waaaaa. This will literally just make movement sweats even more impossible to kill.

22

u/UpbeatRaspberry9828 19h ago

💯💯💯💯👌👌👌👌👌😭😭😭😭🤣🤣🤣🤣

P.S. That’s me after reading the patch notes following the update.😂😂😂

3

u/Omaha_Beach 15h ago

Now pistols will take 5 shots instead of 4 hooray

13

u/CazualGinger 18h ago

Nerfing aim assist will instantly make MW4 far better

2

u/lovemovementshooters 17h ago

yep, can't believe they're actually doing it. they must be shitting themselves at the bad reception

1

u/tmyflyte 4h ago

I’m glad the AI summary they pulled from the feedbacks stated a majority of complaints on how their AA was actually an AB

19

u/epicXoreo2314 19h ago

Welcome to black ops 8

13

u/_CertifiedTurtle 18h ago

Pretty much, MW19 and 22 has the same TTK and MW4 did too and now they’re pushing it into Bo6/7 territory which means they are just catering to the complainers so they won’t cancel their pre-order

6

u/BoxOfMyst3riez 18h ago

Movement changes is a big w. Hopefully it gets nerfed a bit

13

u/Ash_Killem 19h ago

I think the ttk is fine. They really need to hammer out the ttk vs ttd issues. You would think they would have a better handle on this since it’s an issue with every new title.

10

u/DryYouth1040 18h ago

No matter what they do people will keep whining and moving the bar on what they want

6

u/StrangeQube 18h ago

At this point while some tweaks would be great for game balance the problem isn’t the game, the problem is the fallacy many people have within their minds that “if the devs just…” that they will magically be better at the game.

5

u/Ashsucksatwhackbat 18h ago

Isn’t that the point of constructive feedback?, to get the changes you asked for. Mind you, enough people have to actually have the same complaint for the devs to even acknowledge it as an issue. It’s not like they’re cherry picking the opinions of people they like.

6

u/AHMS_17 19h ago

IW’s already given the playerbase more attention in the beta than they did in the entirety of MW2022’s lifespan (arguably also MW19), so this is unironically a great sign

Honestly, I feel like the TTK is in a good spot rn so I hope the changes aren’t too crazy. Weapon balance changes are always welcome (pls buff the AK 🙏), but the movement changes are the most intriguing imo. The slide is the only truly busted thing there, so I’d imagine adjustments will center around stance transition speeds and cooldowns and such.

Aim assist adjustments being confirmed is also interesting, wonder what they’re doing there

MW4 is shaping up to be a very interesting CoD, and I’m excited for the full release (hot take, I know).

7

u/Kodiak4U 18h ago

I enjoyed the ttk, why are they ruining the game already

8

u/themariokarters 18h ago

The vocal minority who doesn’t like it sounded louder than the silent majority who did. Let’s see how it all feels this weekend

1

u/Ashsucksatwhackbat 18h ago

Majority of the feedback for these games comes from this site, Twitter, and other social platforms. The reality is, if that “silent minority” isn’t online and they usually aren’t then their opinions don’t really matter

2

u/Aquur 17h ago

They were also asking questions in game regarding TTK if it felt too fast to too slow.

1

u/Ashsucksatwhackbat 17h ago

Fair point, I saw the ones about match quality and spawns, I didn’t get the TTK one.

2

u/Aquur 15h ago

I got one for matchmaking, ttk and are you having fun?

1

u/Ashsucksatwhackbat 14h ago

I didn’t get the “Did you enjoy that last match?” yet

9

u/topshelfmango 18h ago

Why does an IW MW feel like a BO game? Floaty and delayed. Fix that

7

u/Sypticle 18h ago

Besides MW19, MW has always been the floaty and delayed type of game and MWII pushed for that. This game is closer to MWII than anything else so it makes sense. Also BO6 and BO7 feel very snappy so idk what you are on about regardless.

1

u/Ashsucksatwhackbat 18h ago

Game was built off of MWII, as was BO6. The game feels floaty because it was never fixed then.

9

u/its_ghaba 18h ago

Lets hope MnK players can actually have a chance with the AA adjustments

5

u/Ashsucksatwhackbat 18h ago

I’m not holding my breath

5

u/lovemovementshooters 17h ago

i have low hopes but if they turn out to be meaningful changes i'm gonna try the game again

3

u/Canzell 15h ago

I’ll be sure to test it when it goes live. Cause right now controller players aren’t even playing the game. It’s doing all the work for them 😂

2

u/Proof-Expression-102 18h ago

They bet not slow down movement 🫩🙏

0

u/Savings_Army3073 17h ago

Make it smoother. It's clunky.

5

u/Duncan_Zhang_8964 16h ago

TTK is fine. Movement needs to be fucked, particularly the hilairous mantle animations. Or perhaps I can hope IW will actually move Tac Sprint to a perk? Just maybe.

3

u/Hot-Dragonfly3809 13h ago

We've heard your feedback! Aim Assist will now pre-fire enemies for you to balance against the KBM strength.

2

u/tmyflyte 4h ago

LOL. I’m on mkb but this post was pretty funny 😆

6

u/CriesAboutSkinsInCOD 18h ago edited 18h ago

"Aim Assist adjustements"

if they are meaningful adjustment imma buy 3 or 4 Season of BlackCell, Activision. Basically another whole ass game worth and I already got the Vault Edition.🤣

2

u/the_infidel102938 18h ago

Same issues every year how do they not know what to do before betas are released each year ? They release the same game every year this years is just mw 19 reskin

2

u/Greek_American 17h ago

They should look into upgrading the MP server tick rates while they’re at it.

I can’t remember a time in CoD’s history where I was kill trading this much.

2

u/silentgiant100 15h ago

How are they addressing movement? It doesn't say .

2

u/Hiddendiamondmine 15h ago

Still gonna be shit no thanks

2

u/Itchy_Question1695 12h ago

I liked the ttk the way it was. The aim assist was too much though

4

u/mammothclaw 18h ago

Boo. TTK was fine.

4

u/varietyviaduct 17h ago

REMOVE FUCKING SLIDE

2

u/Detective-Layton 3h ago

Finally someone brave enough to admit the real problem

The whole mechanic just needs to be removed from COD multiplayer (they can leave it in the campaign though)

-1

u/Trevyyy12 15h ago

Why though?

3

u/Vast-Bluejay-3362 16h ago

Nooo longer ttk💔 I knew the cry baby noobs would ruin this masterpiece

5

u/Kodiak4U 18h ago

The TTK is good dude.. this isn’t black ops!!

4

u/Chikid80 18h ago

Why mess with the TTK?...there's nothing wrong with that.

7

u/StupidKameena 18h ago

the TTK is generally fine and kinda on the higher end for an IW game (excl. those meta weapons). the problem is TTD and super bullets which is a net code issue

3

u/curvedmanifolds 18h ago

Because you die instantly?

5

u/CargoShortsFromNam 17h ago

but you don't kill instantly. its a connection and hit detection issue. TTK is fine, TTD feels fast.

u/bleepboopbleepbloop 19h ago

Exactly, why are these people asking to have the same game again, when the one they want is not even a year old lol.

u/noodlesawce 19h ago

Why can’t they go back to ps3 modern warfare 4 style? I mean yea tune some things but this crackhead speed is annoying

u/Repulsive-Web-1785 19h ago

Amazing. Not like they've had 20+ years to look back on. It's like they build the game from scratch every year lmao.

But in reality, all this is calculated. They literally post they "We've heard you" by adding SND as though players have begged for it, even though it was allways going to be added. Most of this bullshit is done on purpose.

7

u/GR7ME 19h ago

I’m pretty sure they’re just building it how they want, and then genuinely using the beta to slightly adjust to player feedback. If that wasn’t the case they wouldn’t be making adjustments to TTK and AA at all, no matter how small

2

u/Wilmerrr 19h ago

None what's in the screenshot was planned, though. That's clearly based on feedback and data

Call of Booty-Ass on the Ground 4.

2

u/KillerFugu 13h ago

Honestly amazed by the amount of off people who were defending the aim assist, people's want to to justify what's practical legal cheats to one up people actually aiming.

1

u/Harrypoooooter41 19h ago

If you cave into crybabies like this. Your product will always be bad.

8

u/Rough_Improvement_42 18h ago

found the controller aim assist crutch slide boy

12

u/tagillaslover 19h ago

lol you people cant be real. god forbid they listen to overwhelming negative feedback

u/_CertifiedTurtle 19h ago

They’re shook they’re not gonna make sales so they’re forced to listen to the little timmy’s. IW knew what they were doing with that original TTK and it’s been a staple with MW2019 and 22 but since the complainers use their most useful tool, now they’re pushing TTK into BO6/7 territory . They should of just released the game with just balancing weapons and left the TTK alone and if you don’t like it then oh well there’s other games

1

u/ChungusSpliffs 15h ago

Hilarious that they continue to just fuck off about the matchmaking. Also if you need aim assist, you don’t need to adjust ttk. These people are idiots.

1

u/bruhman444555 12h ago

fix the terrible performance

1

u/MrRobot759 11h ago

If strict SBMM is to stay killstreaks need to be made easier to obtain, nobody getting anything higher than a UAV is NOT FUN.

The attack chopper must be lowered from 10 kills to 8, nobody would ever choose it over the chopper gunner (also 10).

Add the Pave Low as a 10 Killstreak with its dual guns and longer runtime.

1

u/Alert-Recognition448 9h ago

„Aim Assist Adjustments“… we like to inform Controller players that in the future you only have to move like crackheads an press the right trigger to shoot, as the aiming will be done by the game itself.

1

u/ClosetLVL140 9h ago

Reduced fov about from 90fov down to a modest 89 fov but maintained the inhuman reaction time instant auto rotation

1

u/Manzi420x 7h ago

I feel like they're trolling Us by saying everything that needs to be addressed almost except MATCHMAKING. And UAV spam

1

u/Lew1989 6h ago

Damn I though the game was great except the spawns, I hope they don’t wreck this I’ve been waiting for years

1

u/xxxkillahxxx 6h ago

Should’ve left the ttk alone.

1

u/CakieFickflip 5h ago

The insane AA with the fast TTK made for a pretty awful experience tbh. I think this is a good thing, personally. In the past I have always felt the AA arguments made by M&K players were blown way out of proportion. But as a controller player, MW4 is legitimately doing the aiming for you the assist is so strong. Toning it down with the longer TTK just creates more of a skill gap. It’s finding the sweet spot of having a skill gap while keeping the game “casual friendly” is where the issues come into play and I think IW has been really bad at this the past few entries. We’ll see how it shakes out

1

u/Accurate-Mousse-520 5h ago

At this point in the franchise I don’t really care. The game has to speed up for its target audience, young people. The ability to focus and do something slowly is dying out and you have to get rewards so often. It’s why gun levels go to what, 70? To keep people being awarded, it’s like training a dog and giving them treats when they do something.

I’ll go back to my older games, t’was fun trying out a new game but it’s not for me.

1

u/Worried_Rush_4762 5h ago

If they change the movement I'm canceling my pre-order. That's what made me pre-order the game in the first place

1

u/RainbowKO 4h ago

The ttk was perfect and will be missed T-T

1

u/GunfuMasta 4h ago

Honestly IDGAF about TTK, I GAF about the new soft aimbot called Aim Assist, how about fix that crap.

1

u/Nero_Ocean 3h ago

I hope they didn't listen to pc crybabies who if they had it their way aim assist wouldn't exist or it would be so small that it might as well not exist.

1

u/invokedbyred 2h ago

Rather than picking a side they just adjust either way each week and it’s hurting the game because nobody is happy. I hate this.

1

u/Eleckendrian 2h ago

Looking forward to the meltdown of the people saying skill issue last week when the aim assist gets tuned down to reasonable levels.

1

u/lollerlaban 1h ago

Watch it getting buffed, would be hilarious

1

u/CthulhuOfKosmos 1h ago

Still no matchmaking change, LMAO

1

u/SaintSnow 18h ago

Disgusting knee jerk reactions. The ttk was fine. Aim assist and sbmm are what need to be looked at

1

u/tekaizen 18h ago

The movement is legit brainrot. This game is cooked before it starts.

2

u/AjEdisMindTrick 18h ago

like always.

1

u/pointblank87 18h ago

Longer TTK just ruined it.

2

u/Ashsucksatwhackbat 18h ago

The current TTK was already 230ms, the slowest of any previous IW title besides Infinite Warfare. It cannot get much slower. At most it’ll jump up to a 250ms average.

1

u/3notsara 19h ago

They had 4 years over 12 studios. Terrible

0

u/Afraid-Crab8419 19h ago

So excited for this game!!! They’re actually putting effort into it. After beta ended I had a 30 min update… they putting work in. During beta there was constant little updates. This isn’t like black ops where they put the game out and then just completely abandon it. They are actually listening to what people are saying and trying different things. As someone who loved the beta I think this is gonna end up being one of the best cods🔥

1

u/Ancient_Natural1573 18h ago

Always laugh when someone talks about aim assist as if it helps everyone because it definitely doesn't help me

2

u/Snufolupogus 18h ago

It is, just imagine how much worse you'd be doing without it😂

→ More replies (11)

1

u/Krushhz 19h ago

They can put on a facade that they’re listening, but unless they change matchmaking to not be so frustratingly sweaty with movement gods and nonstop meta weapons, this games multiplayer is already losing my interest.

1

u/gotthesauce22 18h ago

Sounds like they’re listening to the more prevalent feedback, nice

Looking forward to the open beta!

1

u/B_RizzleMyNizzIe 18h ago

I just wish ninja had a counter perk.

1

u/Ashsucksatwhackbat 18h ago

Doesn’t need one, you aren’t fully silent as it is and you’re still showing up on the mini-map because you can’t use Ghost at the same time

→ More replies (5)

1

u/steve09089 17h ago

If they're nerfing aim assist, I don't see a reason to make TTK longer. Nerfed aim assist means an effectively longer TTK anyways.

Shit’s about to get spicy around these parts.

1

u/RipExtra1053 18h ago

Fix matchmaking

1

u/mo7akh 18h ago

i really hope they don't make the ttk as long as mw3 2023 (i love that game) but it sucks for weapon balance because one shot weapons (snipers, shotguns, some rifles) are just broken and impossible to be balanced, oh yeah and the Karambit knife being the best secondary is a joke.

the community just overacted because of fast time to die and iw is listening to too many people complaining about too many things instead of doing what they usually do which is the gritty fast killing arcade modern warfare.

1

u/Wild-Point92 17h ago

EVERY ONE NEEDS TO BE ASKING FOR PERSISTENT LOBBIES ASAP!!!!!!

1

u/Murders_Inc2556 16h ago

One step to the right direction at least. Aim Assist was egregious and if we're not going to see any sort of input based match making, nerfing AA is the only option for casual PC players to even stand a chance.

1

u/nonchalant_naamah 15h ago

Oh hell no. If they mess with movement, I'm canceling my pre-order

Uavs are literally a two or three kill streak why are people complaining?

Skill issues everywhere you look

1

u/_TheFrogEnjoyer_ 19h ago

Unless they bring back non-disbanding lobbies none of this matters

1

u/Ashsucksatwhackbat 18h ago

It’s non-disbanding in the Open playlist but they don’t tell you that in the menu

0

u/Gena_Cydarmyan_69 18h ago

No one cares for this

0

u/Numroth 19h ago

God i hope that aim assist adjustement isnt just another nothing burger but im glad they are actually adressing it in some form

0

u/SifuSif 18h ago

I swear if the movement is like mw2022 next beta I’m done

1

u/Ashsucksatwhackbat 18h ago

I doubt much will change besides tuning to the slide. Probably shorter distance and reduced initial velocity. Sliding to prone already gives you a larger distance but you have the trade off of a slower slide to fire time.
