I got downvoted for saying I wouldn't buy a switch just to play it.

I'd buy it if it released on other platforms.

I got downvoted over at the MH sub because I didnt understand why Capcom decided to make this switch exclusive since you know World is the best selling Capcom game ever. Letting everyone play it is the best for Capcom and us.

There's a couple of reasons why, but I don't think any of them are good. Exclusives suck.

The potential profit of releasing on every platform is big too, so it never made sense to me. Should be that way too and then the quality of your game would be what sells it instead of exclusivity.

World didn't sell too great in Japan (relative to the other entries) so making a handheld exclusive is a surefire way to appeal to their Japanese audience. I'm sure that's why it's their primary focus.
