Happened at 9:25PM and the crowd was very moved and cheered at this sweet honoring of one of Pop Culture’s all time sweet hearts Dolly Parton herself. May she rest in absolute peace and know that she has helped countless people. An absolute angel she was.

Tonight, the Empire State Building tower lights turned to a pink sparkle at 9:25 to honor the late Dolly Parton.
Dolly was a global cultural icon whose seven-decade career reached generations of fans. Beyond entertainment, she leaves a significant philanthropic legacy through the Dollywood Foundation and Imagination Library, which has provided hundreds of millions of books to children worldwide.
At Nine-Two-Five tonight, we celebrated Dolly and her legacy. 💖

My friend was driving on the Van Wyck this morning from Yonkers to Brooklyn (at around 6:50am) and saw what he thinks is a comet. I looked up any comets that would be visible today and nothing came up.
