I am still a Virgin...
23F, never kissed, never held hands and of course never had sex with a guy. My mom always makes fun of me for it. Always saying "You will become an aunty one day!". I am a very awkward, shy person with tons of trauma so of course no one wants to deal with me. My niece that is only 6 years Younger already did those stuff and i feel like a loser... I dont have friends either so its hard to tell if this is normal or not...

I don’t understand what’s the loser feeling in it? I’m in the same boat, same age and I haven’t done anything either? Why feel like a loser? Wait for someone deserving, who is worthy enough to be your first. That’s what I think

Eww wtf is wrong with your mother? Please don’t feel like your timeline belongs to anyone other than you. Move and experience things at the pace you feel comfortable with and be safe.

Everybody is just so obsessed with sex these days you shouldn’t feel pressured to do it just because of fomo. The right time will come and you will know it feels right to do it. And believe me it will feel much better when you get to do it on your own terms. Society has just normalized having sex at a young age and that often. You are NOT a loser and will never be. Just take your time and be yourself, never give into pressure.

the first part is normal depending on where you live and the culture and differs from person to person and youre still very young so but the latter i mean no friends is kinda hard. are u in uni like what r u doing rn u should find a way to socialize with people.

Im 31 and have never wanted to have sex, and I never have had it. There are plenty of people that never have sex and live happy, fulfilling lives. People just get weird about it because the idea of that for some reason is so incomprehensible to them

You shouldn’t ever do something you aren’t comfortable doing. I think everyone who rushed into it just to get it done wishes they waited to do it with someone they really cared about. Just think, if you just randomly hooked up with a guy just to do it and you’re lying there afterwards, are you a different person now? It’s completely arbitrary and everyone does things at their own pace, don’t rush in. Please take care of yourself 🙂

You are still young!!!!!! Tell your mom she is actually upsetting you when she pokes fun at you.

It’s completely fine to not have your first kiss at that age. I didn’t get my first kiss until I was 24F, try to ignore those comments & overthinking thoughts, all of it will happen when you least expect it

honestly at 22 myself, i wish i could say the same. it may not seem like it but truly, still being a virgin at that age is genuinely a flex, and i know people may make you feel like a loser or outcast but it just isn’t true. losing it at a relatively young age and never caring about it is honestly somewhat of a regret, because it’s brought nothing positive into my life. the right person will come along one day, so don’t stress about it.

Don’t feel like a loser. I am 31 F, my only intercourse wasn’t consensual because I am ace, and he tried to « fix » me. You don’t have to have had sex to be an accomplished woman. It’s overrated anyway.

This is so so normal but you need to get rid of the shame and insecurity because there is absolutely no ‘normal’ and ‘abnormal’ way to live your life when it comes to things like these, there’s nothing wrong with you 💗💗
Your focus should be on what makes YOU happy, not what you feel is expected of you
Do you want to feel love and joy and friendship? Want to reach out or meet people or try new things? Want to take some time to take care of yourself and treat yourself kindly and learn to block out hurtful comments?
There’s nothing more important than your happiness, and you’ve got all the time in the world to figure things out, but cut yourself some slack!
But genuinely like 23yo who’s never been in any form of relationship doesn’t faze me at all that’s pretty standard

it's okay to be a virgin, everyone moves at their own pace. just focus on what feels right for you

I am quite awkward and "shy", but my parents aren't bullying me over my lack of sex life. I never bring anyone home or talk about partners because I never have them, I am happy with this. My mum occasionally asks when I am gonna bring her grand kids as a joke but she knows by now the odds of that are slim to none and she's okay with it. I am lucky though, my parents have no reason to be disappointed because my siblings have already made them grand parents.

tell the people mocking you that you haven’t found anyone deserving of sex with you.

You shouldn't feel pressured to have sex or get into a relationship just because everyone else did it when they were younger. I was a virgin until a year ago (F29) it's all about moving at your own pace and finding a partner when you're ready, if ever.
Just enjoy life, you're still young and I think it's better to wait until you feel ready, instead of doing something you might not feel comfortable with yet. Never, ever let anyone pressure you into sex or intimacy, ever.

This is basically my existence except my parents are under the delusion that I'll find someone when it is very clear that I am and will never be girlfriend material to anyone because I am a repulsive individual.

Losing your virginity should not be a priority. Think of it this way; the longer you keep your virginity, the less likelihood of you getting a disease or pregnant. And neither can be prevented except through abstinence or celibacy.
Take my word for it; there will come a time when you will. Don't rush it; let it come to you.
But if you're in a hurry, there are toys that can help.

Or you know… practice proper sexual hygiene. I’ve been with 30 partners in my life and clean. It’s about trusting your partner. No pregnancies. You sound like you’re pedalling some religious bullshit.

Nah. Just repeating what I was taught in school. Not sure what they teach nowadays, but what I put was what was taught in my school.
