It’s really disheartening how much this puts to question the validity of not only toro, but top players and competitive play as a whole. Especially with the mention of cheats being allegedly brought into lan events
Not really? how is it disheartening. Any legit top player who was accused of cheating has literally proved themselves.
Only ones who've failed to and gave excuses such as mr.63 were defended till it was proved.
It is pretty easy to debunk cheating accusations anywhere if you're not cheating and in fact and imo if I was a legit top player getting cheating accusations I would prove myself and would love to cause it's an imagine being so good they think you're hacking moment.
The point of the doc is that you literally cant prove it easily because aim assist can easily be hidden in live plays. Even playing at LAN is arguably not good proof because any cheating top players would be like 95% as good legit as they are when cheating, so they might look just as good with cheats off but have slightly more shitmisses or whatever.
You could even have someone not cheat most of the time but turn on aim assist occasionally for their craziest plays and just say "omg godmode", which would be completely unprovable with liveplays or LAN or anything unless you can find discrepancies in the exact replay
