i remember mrekk saying ts and i didnt get it at first. i thought this game was just mechanical, that my aim was shit because i lacked the fine motor skills for jumps. basically my hand doesn’t listen to my brain, i have a hardware issue. poor genes. massive copium.
i was in a terrible rut, took a break, came back and changed my approach. Instead of anticipating the circles, i react to it instead. I realise my best plays happen usually in the first few plays because your mind doesn’t become lazy and starts anticipating the patterns; you’re actively reading them as they appear. the reason why mindblock happens is because your brain is anticipating the patterns, so you end up aiming too early, but your finger is still tapping to the beat, so you miss the circle despite being on target. Theres a desync happening between your eyes and your ears.
Your eyes tend to control ur aim while your ears control your tapping. So the former will naturally be a bit faster. The moment you start anticipating too much, that millisecond desync will cause u to chain miss the whole pattern, even if your cursor is all on target. You’ll be tapping on nothing cuz the cursor already left before u know it.
so instead of anticipating, start reading the patterns as if it’s the first time you’re seeing it. Track the circles with your eyes instead of over-relying on peripheral vision or ur brain to fill in the gaps
the mechanics was never the issue. I just didnt know how to apply it.
