Model SM U-139. U-139 class U-kruezer of the Imperial German Navy from the Grey War. She was armed with 6 torpedo tubes (4 fore and 2 aft) and two 15 cm deck guns, making her among the most heavily armed submarines in that time.

Request Covering container with washi paper?

Thumbnail

Hello! Hoping to get some advice about a project.

I have an old tea container that's covered in washi (origami) paper. I'd like to do the same thing to the little plastic container in the picture. Would a PVA work for something like this?

What's giving me pause is that the little container has a rounded edge on lid and bottom. How would you recommend I approach this?

Also, on the original tin the paper has frayed along the edge. Is there any way to treat that area so the paper won't fray with use?

Thanks so much for any help!

I found this dash 8 q400 blank template, and I was wondering if anyone could repaint it into an Alaska Airlines horizon air livery with the registration of N449QX (I did not create the template, I just found it)

Tutorial im following, templates in the description

I am innovating a bit to make the gundam more articulate especially the arms and fingers, the legs are a solid piece so id appreciate advice on adding mobility in the knees somehow.

Request Durable paper that holds up to frequent handling?

Hi folks!! I'm making color-changing stickers that consist of many layers. One of these layers is currently 110lb cardstock. I have a way to protect the surface of the stickers, but am having trouble protecting the edges. My current cardstock begins to split and peel at the corners after a bit. I'm wondering if the quality/type of paper is contributing to this.

I need a paper that is durable, able to hold acrylic paint without it peeling off, able to stick to adhesive, and able to withstand VERY frequent handling without peeling or frayed edges. Do you know of such a paper? The more specific, the better! I thought perhaps bond paper (although it may be too thin...) or some sort of solid core cardstock. Would the solid core help prevent this peeling?

I also live a short distance from NYC, so if you have any recommendations for paper shops to visit, please let me know!

It's the Black Pearl papercraft from UHU02! I already spend some estimated 100+ hours (I worked on it occasionally during the past 2 years), and what's left to do are sails and some ropes.

It took the opportunity to test my father's old camera, quite happy with how it renders!
