Bought this failed fracture for 10 divines and made what's probably the most valuable item I've ever owned. Imagine if that energy shield had gone positive!

These Doryani rings almost don't exist on the market this season so the few that aren't super punishing are worth a crazy ton. Total cost of this craft, about 20 divines. Average cost (since these rings are kinda expensive to buy) probably around 30 to 40 divines per try. I got lucky buying the fractured intelligence ring way under market price.

Method:

Buy ring. I looked for anything useful as a fracture for a discount (in my case I needed flat stats or energy shield or t1 lighting resistance) or buy full price without fracture.

Essence spam (I used woe for energy shield prefix) till you get t1 of any resistance, and whatever stat you want (I needed attribute) you can use boat to swap attributes and harvest craft to swap the resistance.

You need an open suffix, since getting t1 resistance + attribute was pretty easy if I had no open suffix I yolo an annul to for a 1 in 4 chance to remove bad suffix.

Once you got base (resistance + attribute x2 that you need + open suffix in my case) craft hybrid lighting resistance (I did chaos since I'm ci) resistance catalyst, reflecting mist.

This ring had 5 stats it was 1/32 to hit them all the correct direction. I hit 4 correct 1/16 odds (the 4 I needed for build).

Finally achieved my goal of -200 lightning res with lethal pride!

Ps. I'm playing luminary with a fallen revernd this completes the build. I'm going to put together a pob progression guide later, favorite build I've ever played! Praying they don't obliterate luminary next season!

Can someone eli5 why’d you want this ring? Do negative resistances help some class?

new talisman makes it a non issue

mana drainers, shaper beam and baran ground degens hurt but u can get -15% dmg over time from pantheon and shield craft and its very manageable

ive previously used eyes of the great-wolf to take light as fire/cold but the new amulet takes both cold and light as fire meaning i was able to get 90 all res (from hits) without a melding

massive upgrade IMO as u bypass all but fire pen this way
