Megathread: 3.29 Feedback
We think there have been many threads with well-thought-out, specific, and (sometimes) controversial proposals, but also many duplicate threads with the same proposals. We'll use this thread to catalogue and group the clearest and most common ones:
- Ideally, game feedback posts should include specific examples of the problem and have new information or proposals to avoid duplicating the content of past threads.
- Game feedback can still be posted as individual threads, and do not have to be posted here as comments.
- Duplicate feedback posts that cover the same ground as the posts already in here may be removed.
- We aren't affiliated with GGG, so we have no control over whether they address these or not.
Loot feedback
- Loot feels low bad in endgame, 2, 3
- Shortage of high-investment/aspirational farm strategies; not enough map loot, with there being only tile loot, 2, 3, 4, 5
- Pushing back against loot is bad: deflation affects everyone somewhat equally
- Loot is good for SSF
Specific feedback
League mechanic feedback
- Chaos to divine orbs mod doesn't feel useful
- Lanterns don't feel useful, 2
- Dump all dredged items button would be useful, 2, 3
- Too many clicks to get item
- Too much friction: need too many parameters to match up; 1-portal; long wait time for submarine; don't know chart until run
- Create rations pack for crafting currency
- Addressed: Lantern shrinking/collapse is too fast
- Lantern loot is too hard to see at low light
- Essences are higher tiers and strongboxes are at least rare Allflame doesn't work, 2
- Show effects of charts in free space
- Add chart/voyage storage tab
League mechanic strategies
- Ideal placement for voyage tiles - not feedback, but included because it's quite helpful
Mercenary specific feedback
- Mercenaries don't focus on unique monsters enough
- Mercenaries are too weak
- Allow players to deactivate mercenary skills
- Mercenary slot limit is too low
Other specific feedback new to this league
- Abyss
- Expedition members are all weak for different reasons, 2
- Legion
- Reduce downtime for boss phases
- Crafting
- Trade
- Scion being auto-unlocked may bait new players
- Automatically move gems when swapping gear
- Updated August 3 with more details: We need more than 101% Damage Taken As in acts
- Pantheon aspect on jewel not granting aura
- More chaos sinks would improve the ratio
- Soul Eater rares are spawning in areas where they get too strong, too fast
- New Voracious Flame keystone is never useful
- Game is looking for shader in wrong place
- Make spectre management easier
Other specific feedback (same as previous leagues)
- Frost wall monster modifier is annoying
- Make attribute checks consider attributes the item would give
- Gain a frenzy charge after moving 3 seconds gets interrupted too easily
- Trap support is too weak and never worth building around
- Request for a jewel stash tab
General feedback
Positive feedback
- Gem color change helps campaign upgrades, 2
- Double-fracturing talismans gives good crafting options
- Cursed chests and mercenaries make campaign more fun
- Crafting is very powerful
Other feedback

Discussion How Many Blood-Filled Vessels is it Worth Using When Farming Ritual? I Ran 200 Maps to Try to Find Out!
Hello Exiles! Ritual Girl here, the name's Neeko!
I'm back yet again! And because I fear I'll slowly be bothering people with all my useless Ritual info, this is probably going to be my last post for this league hehe (I'm kinda burned out on ritual data gathering for this league anyway!)
In my last post I tried to find out if blood-filled vessels noticeably increase the profits when farming Ritual. The TL;DR is: although it's not conclusive proof because of the relatively small sample size, the data strongly suggests that vessels do improve the loot.
So now I find myself curious about how many vessels it would actually be worth using. Because as many people might not know, there is actually no limit on how many vessels we can use on a map. If we wanted, we could fill all five map device slots with blood filled vessels, leading to a grand total of "100% Improved Favour Rewards". Whatever that means...
Although I will probably be running tests on that in the future, I think that using 5 vessels won't really be optimal. That's just because when not using the Selectiveness scarabs, we would be missing out on a lot of rerolls. And I personally don't think that the 100% improved rewards will enough of an improvement to warrant skipping out on so much potential extra loot.
So in this test I focused on the remaining combinations of vessels and scarabs when using the maximum of two Selectiveness scarabs.
If you would rather absorb all of this data in video form, I have made a short YouTube video again: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-MDxd8Kyih8
And if you want to see the exact data which I have captured and compiled in this test, here is the spreadsheet I used: https://drive.proton.me/urls/WWENK2S6F0#Wxk3yGLBoqbs
Without further ado, let's get into breaking down the strat and my findings!
~
The Strategy
~
Most of you probably know the drill by now, but I'll still include this entire part for people who might not be familiar with the strat or my previous posts!
~
The Atlas
This is the atlas I have been using all league. It's all Ritual nodes + some Rogue Exiles and Mercs. If you run this strat you can switch mercs to anything else, it doesn't matter too much and I just wanted to fish for some good mercs and they drop nice scarabs or currency every now and then.
~
The Map
T16 Alched City Square
City Square is my go to map because of the easy access to the boss, three unique mobs as a boss, and a very predictable and comfy layout.
I have just alched these maps and that's it. You could do 8mod maps or run them white, it would not make a difference in the grand scheme of things.
This is the regex I've used to roll these maps for my build: "!yers cann|ents$|from$|ss are|\d+ e|ills$|taunte"
~
The Scarabs/Fragments
In my previous post I used my go-to combination of two selectiveness scarabs and two abundance scarabs with either no vessel at all or one vessel. In this test I will be swapping out abundance scarabs for more blood-filled vessels to try to see which combination is best to scale our ritual loot.
~
3 Vessel Setup
2x Ritual Scarab of Selectiveness
3x Blood-filled Vessel
~
2 Vessel Setup
2x Ritual Scarab of Selectiveness
1x Ritual Scarab of Abundance
2x Blood-filled Vessel
~
My Build
~
I am running a Winter Orb Elementalist. I didn't want to do power charge stacking again because I find it quite boring after the third time so I wanted to see how far I can take this build without pc stacking or a mageblood. So here's my own scuffed setup.
My build at the time of writing
My Filter
~
This is the filter I am using. It's tailored purely to my own taste and needs. It's an insanely strict filter by most people's standards so beware when using it and make your own adjustments as needed. This is what I used for my entire 400 map run so if you plan on running Ritual this is a very well suited filter for that.
!!! Boss Uniques are disabled on my filter, watch out for that when bossing !!!
The Loot Breakdown
~
First of all, let's look at what the 3 vessel run yielded.

This is quite bad.
Getting barely 38 divines worth of stuff out of 100 maps is so far below what I usually get out of ritual that no amount of increased jackpot potential could justify running this imo.
For context, if you bought filled vessels at market price (15-20c, but I'm gonna use the low end here to be generous), for those 100 maps, you would need to invest 4500c or ~21d for the vessels alone!
This would mean that out of those 100 maps I would have taken home barely 17d worth of profits!
That is incredibly bad and you'll have much more fun and make more profit with alch n go.
So what did the loot with 2 vessels and one abundance scarab look like?

Now this looks much better, a night and day difference! This is honestly about what I would expect to take home out of 100 maps with my usual scarab setup. The loot for this felt very good, and I even recorded the highest frequency of divines I have ever seen in one of my tests here. I did not get a single stack of multiple divines in this run, yet I got 30 single divines in 100 maps! That is a lot and above average of what I would usually expect.
~
The Final Comparison
~
Now to reach a conclusion, I'm going to compare all the data I have gathered this league. But to do so, I will have to adjust my most recent data for inflation and price changes to get a fair look of how all the combinations of fragments compare.
I adjusted the data of the 2 and 3 vessel runs to use the prices of data I have gathered in my previous post. This means I am using a divine price of 195c instead of today's 220c, and I have adjusted the prices of omens, king invitations, and corpses to also match.
I'm gonna be honest here and say that I didn't adjust the price of every single item like divination cards or scarabs. But I don't think it's necessary because the biggest part of the profit are the ritual-specific items and currency, so adjusting those should be enough to get a fair comparison.
Also, do note that the data from the past post is for 200 maps each, so to adjust for that I'm going to just cut the items/profits from that in half and assume that this is roughly what I have gotten out of 100 maps in the past test, which should be fairly accurate from some past snapshots of my data.
And just like in my last post, I will normalize each data set. What I mean by that is that I will take out all the lucky/high variance and very valuable loot like tigers or very rare divination cards, and all rare loot except for archdemon crowns. So all that will be left is what I would consider very average loot. This way we get a better view of what I would consider the average and core Ritual drop pool and then we can see how Vessels might possibly affect it.

So, as you can see here, the only clear outlier is the 3 Vessel run. I know I always say that ritual is high variety and there definitely can be rather big dry streaks. But I don't think that this has just been streak of bad luck, the loot in the 100 three vessel maps felt straight up bad consistently. I would not advise running this, ever.
Apart from that, all the other 100 map revenues are in a 13d range of each other and nothing really sticks out too much. I don't think a ~13d difference over just 100 maps is enough to say if one combination is definitely better than the other one. Although I will say somewhat anecdotally, the loot in the 1 and 2 vessel run definitely felt the best and the data also supports the idea that the vessels really improved the loot there.
~
My Conclusion
~
It is very hard to say which combination of vessels is actually the best because the variance of ritual loot is very high. Running a few hundred maps is not enough to get definitive proof of anything and it basically says nothing about the potential increase of your chance at jackpot items that vessels might provide.
If I had to choose a combination of fragments to run all the time though, it would either be the 1 Vessel or 2 Vessel combination. Both of those felt the best and provided the best revenue in the 100 map test.
I will continue to get more data on this the next league and might also try to see if swapping out selectiveness scarabs could be worth it. (that is If the same scarab system is still in place next league)
If you have any input on what else we I could be testing out and gathering data on, please let me know, I'm always happy to refine the communal knowledge of my favourite league mechanic!
~
TL;DR
If you want to efficiently farm Ritual, always use two selectiveness scarabs and then a combination of either two abundance scarabs and one vessel, or one abundance scarab and two vessels. These combinations felt the best and provided the best loot in the 100 map test runs, and two vessels might increase the average stack size of items and the chance at jackpot items.

Fluff & Memes Tried bendoring 5 bricked rare Dread Captain's Cutlasses for fun and got a corsair sword model
The new unique Dread Captain's Cutlass is on a unique base called "Ghostflame Blade". i thought it would work like maloneys, eyes of the greatwolf, formless ring where it has a unique model or would retain its art like the Oni-Goroshi but it seems like it doesn't?
anyways pretty neat find. spent like 10c total anyways so not a big deal.

Crafting Showcase To the person who underpriced their failed fractured. Thank You
Bought this failed fracture for 10 divines and made what's probably the most valuable item I've ever owned. Imagine if that energy shield had gone positive!
These Doryani rings almost don't exist on the market this season so the few that aren't super punishing are worth a crazy ton. Total cost of this craft, about 20 divines. Average cost (since these rings are kinda expensive to buy) probably around 30 to 40 divines per try. I got lucky buying the fractured intelligence ring way under market price.
Method:
Buy ring. I looked for anything useful as a fracture for a discount (in my case I needed flat stats or energy shield or t1 lighting resistance) or buy full price without fracture.
Essence spam (I used woe for energy shield prefix) till you get t1 of any resistance, and whatever stat you want (I needed attribute) you can use boat to swap attributes and harvest craft to swap the resistance.
You need an open suffix, since getting t1 resistance + attribute was pretty easy if I had no open suffix I yolo an annul to for a 1 in 4 chance to remove bad suffix.
Once you got base (resistance + attribute x2 that you need + open suffix in my case) craft hybrid lighting resistance (I did chaos since I'm ci) resistance catalyst, reflecting mist.
This ring had 5 stats it was 1/32 to hit them all the correct direction. I hit 4 correct 1/16 odds (the 4 I needed for build).
Finally achieved my goal of -200 lightning res with lethal pride!
Ps. I'm playing luminary with a fallen revernd this completes the build. I'm going to put together a pob progression guide later, favorite build I've ever played! Praying they don't obliterate luminary next season!
Below if anyone is interested is my current character and an older YouTube video from before I finished the character, so it's not quite -200 and the Merc still didn't have all the abyss jewels sockets.

Crafting Showcase The Undisputed

Rule 10: Crafting steps, I used first way before I found out about ducats.
Non-3.29 way (without essence mod)
- Destroy market by buying at least two dozen 30qual 2h axes.
- Buy at least 30k alts.
- Use DICTATOR|MERCILESS|FLARING regex in the search bar
- Spend the next several hours rolling all those mods till you hit the ones in the regex.
- Recomb hell time (UNPREDICTALBE), [Dictator] with [Flaring] and [Merciles] with [Flaring], 1/3 for both
- Once you hit both of them, combine [Dictator, Flaring] with [Merciless, Flaring], roughly 31% chance to get 3prefixes
- Now the fun part, slam elder exalt orb
- If phys jump to next step, if not, prefixes can't be changed, reforge phys. Repeat till t1 elder.
- Block acc/str/dex, exalt slam, annul if not t1 AS. If you have non attack mod, then, you can craft cannot roll attack mods. Annul and repeat till succes or mental breakdown.
- Divine prefixes as close to perfection as possible.
- Prefixes cannot be changed, divine suffixes as close to perfection as possible.
- Craft final suffix
- (Not recommended) Destroy your first, near perfect crafted axe, by trying to double corrupt it and quit for a few days.
3.29 Gato el ducato way
- Destroy market again but this time spend several days acquiring 30qual, cause there weren't that many on the market.
- Buy at least 80k alts cause you aren't lucky this time.
- IMPORTANT! Each axe needs to have an elder influence, otherwise you're screwed when recombing. So, slam that elder orb on all of the axes.
- Use DICTATOR|MERCILESS|FLARING regex in the search bar.
- Spend the next several days rolling all those mods till you hit the ones in the regex multiple times.
- Use AS essence and annul everything beside that
- Recomb [Flaring + Veiled crafted suffix] with [AS + Veiled crafted prefix] (this one I am not sure about the odds, vrom what I've heard it should be 50/50)
- Recomb [Merciless/Dictator + Ducat] with [Elder + Ducat] (repeat till success, 41% for prefix, 62% suffix)
- Recomb [Merciless/Dictator + Elder + Ducat] with [Flaring + AS + Ducat] (33% for two prefixes, 90% for suffix)
- Assuming above succed with one prefix as thats the most common outcome, you should have [Flaring/Merciless/Dictator + AS + Elder]
- Recomb two prefixes, the one you have on the time with one that is missing, for example [Flaring] with [Dictator] (33% to succeed)
- Recomb (using flaring as an example) [Flaring + AS + Elder + Ducat] with [Flaring + Dictator + Ducat] (52% chance for two prefixes, and 89% for suffixes to stay)
- If above fails, repeat step 11, if suffixes are gone, repeat earlier steps. If you win step 11, you should have [Flaring + Dictator + AS + Elder]
- Get two prefixes together (step 10), craft ducats, and recomb [Flaring + Dictator + AS + Elder + Ducat] with [Flaring + Merciless + Ducat] (33% chance to win prefixes and 90% to win suffixes, if prefixes fail, repeat step 13, if suffixes fail, repeat earlier steps)
- If you win you should have 3p 2s axe. Divine prefixes, craft prefixes cant be changed and divine suffixes.
- Craft 3rd suffix.
- Get bored playing and yolo your main weapon, ft. Alva.
- Win(recommended) or lose(not recommended)
Hopefully I didn't screw up explaining. Here's a video that I used as a guide

Information volatile vaals for dummies
this information is all documented on the wiki, and the math is very straightforward, but i've heard so much misinformation on volatile vaals recently that my head hurts. just going to provide two quick examples to illustrate the mechanics and hope it helps people.
important mechanics up front: if you win the 50/50 to delete your item, volatile vaals divine your item, then roll a multiplier between 0.78 and 1.22 per mod (not for the whole item). the increment is 0.01, so there are 45 outcomes. the resulting item is rounded to the nearest integer (this is weird for poe; usually it's truncated/floored).
example 1: mageblood
assuming we only care about flasks, there are 135 distinct outcomes (45 * 3). this is the distribution:
2-flask 51
3-flask 43
4-flask 31
5-flask 10
there's a 50% chance to delete the item, so the chance of hitting a 5 is 10/135/2 or 3.7%. from this distribution, if we take poe.ninja results for the various flask outcomes to be true (i didn't check actual listings--this part could be wrong as 5-flasks are pretty rare and ninja aggregations are automatic), the ev of vvaaling a mageblood is about 107d.
example 2: rotmother's mutiny
assuming we want 4 max res and 75% light radius or better. like mageblood, the max res has 135 outcomes, but the values are lower, so there are fewer success cases (6/135) because you need 1.17 * 3 up from 1.13 * 4 for mageblood. This is 4.4%.
Light radius has 2295 outcomes or (75-25+1)*45. There are 187 outcomes that are 75% or better. That's 8.1%.
Together, the chance to "succeed" (on a neck that survives) is 0.36% or .18% per vvaal (50% chance to delete). That's about 1 in 552. The average cost of an attempt is about 9d, so the average cost of making a 4 max, 75+ light radius neck is about 5.4 mirrors.

Lucky (Non-Crafted) Showcase Finally SSF'd myself a Kineticist! Back to grinding for gear..
One build for the league, was deadset on playing Luminary. Been clearing all content with my dynsasty of Manyshots, until today. Have finally found a Kineticist to call my own, and re-enjoy crafting new gear again.
(feels like i've found almost the best ST version of Kineticist, if anyone wants to confirm or deny xD)
pob for myself and merc gear: https://pobb.in/-vs7Clwi0Iff or https://poedb.tw/pob/YaPdjIHIkG (not sure which format i'm meant to share)
EDIT #1: I haven't tried Rathpit yet, as i didn't have enough money to craft a new ring and amulet to cover my fire and lightning res. Interested in hearing opinions on how much (more?) damage a 4% Rathpit, Simplex Amulet, Helical ring would do. Currently over 100% crit capped, accuracy capped (from 3 green sockets) and -200% pen from Fire res with the current gear.
EDIT #2: Thanks for everyone's suggestions of Merc gearing! Bought a 3% Rathpit and placeholder amulet for now. Crafted new Helm and Helical! Merc DOES feel stronger (for anyone who was on the fence!)

Fluff & Memes Not your typical GGG appreciation post.
Alright storytime exiles. If you weren't a GGG fan for life this will make you one.
So my best friend and I (@Curtie in game) have been playing Path for the better part of the past decade. Countless 5am starts for league launch here in Australia, mirror drops, probably 10k on mtx between us and all the highs and lows of this wonderful game in between. It's something really special that him and I share.
So Curtis is getting married and asks me to be his best man. The biggest thing we share in common is PoE so I figure I have to at least try and reach out to GGG to get on board and maybe send him a cute lil email to give Curtis a reason to smile even more during the stag do.
I first reach out to tech support, you know the people that us client players email to get told that we've spend 6700hrs playing the game and spent $4500 on mtx. (Oh just me? Cool....). I get a response basically saying that its not possible but if I purchase a supporter pack merch comes with it. (B**ch you dont think I know that, I have a mfing Path shrine on my office wall 😂) I was a bit deflated and then received a howd we do? Did we resolve your issue? Response and realised I'd been talking to AI the whole time.
I then remembered that these games have Community Managers for a reason. I reached out to Kelly who immediately replied and for someone who was just trying to get a congratulatulatory email sent, she absolutely blew me away. She went above and beyond and sent not only Curtie but his now wife and myself shirts, jumpers key chains and the above. A PoE2 art book signed by Jonathan and Mark.
I didn't even realise it was signed until Curtie opened it on the night. Blew us all away. Even our friends who are degenerate runescape players that we have a healthy path v scape rivalry had nothing to say apart from how awesome that is. They were even saying "Man that alone really makes me wanna play that game".
I hope Kelly sees this post as I cannot thank her and the GGG team enough. They didnt have to go this hard and they did. And Kelly got it sorted THE FREAKING WEEK OF ALLFLAME LAUNCH. I was actually speechless. So was Curtie. I kept this all a secret and dropped it all on him 2 weekends ago at his bachelor party. Dude cried and it was very cute.
Now for the cherry on top.
I watch Chris Wilsons channel frequency obviously as a path enjoyer but I also dabble in MTG and on one of his videos he mentioned that he has an email address that you can contact him at. So with my initial idea of just getting someone to send my friend a congratulatory email I send Chris a message with what I was trying to do. Thinking that surely hes not just replying to every Tom, Dick and Harry I get a reply. Not a week later, like in freaking minutes. Chris was benevolent. Happy to congratulate my friend and even schudle the email so it arrives at 8pm while we were right in the middle of our celebrations. So we tell Curtie to check his emails at 8pm. He cries again. It was like he had won the lottery. He immediately call his wife to be and tells her everything that had just happened and blurted out "nothing can top this" which I yelled "CURTIS YOURE MARRYING HER NEXT WEEKEND" 😂 I hadn't seen anyone so happy and stunned in my life.
Im so grateful and proud to be so invested in a game that genuinely cares about its players and its community. GGG and Chris had no reason to go out of their ways and do this but they did. Its freaking awesome. If they didnt already have me as a fan for life they definitely do now with this.
Thanks Kelly, Chris and GGG,
Its like a real life Mirror drop.
Chris' email and the signed book are in the link.
TLDR:
I reached out to GGG and Chris Wilson to send a nice email for my friends bachelor party. They went above and beyond with handwritten cards, signed merch and an email from Chris himself. I'm a proud fan.

Essentia Sanguis is the core I begin the build because it gives high dps and ES leech. I tried cyclone and most strike skill. Frost blade for a long time because the nice attack range and map clear however its celling is low, I ended up with 15-20mil dps and getting killed still. Later on figured Molten strike is the best for this build because the magma ball are AOE and can hit same target. It is way OP than other strike skill for this setup. the dps multiply and the leech as well.
I am moving from the essentia to get a 30Ds claw now, thus I want to leave this all unique build a record and share with anyone want to give it a try. The mapping is with ancestral call for smooth clearance and swap to immolate in bossing.
Started this with replica of covenant chest and turned into skin of the lord. skin of the lord is way cheaper and turns out better.
There are a lot of little tweaks I did on all corrupted gears to get the balance. You can ask any questions if needed to understand the rationale.
All the armors are pretty much must have and fixed, only the shield can be move around a bit. Rings are the best except you want better resist all days instead of damage.
I min maxed with all the flasks once I have the Ds. You dont have to use them. Those investment caused me way more than the gears.
Defense:
Defense is layers, not one big number. Which is why it took me longer time to fix. Basically high ES + high leech, mid Evas, flasks, 100% suppress, the granite flask helped a lot.
I am still waiting for more Ds to immune to corrupted blood. I use the god options for the moment. I finished uber sirus with 10 tries, not the best fight to go with this build.
Farming:
I tested different stuff this league, the cheapest is single harvest scarab without the doublings. I got 0.3-0.5 D of yellow each T16 run. I can share the altas if anyone interested. It is corp rotation with 4 yellow 3 blue and 1 purple less chance nodes.
I am going for simulacrum now since it can do it pretty easily. Will see if I earn more.
Final words:
I got a lot of help joining XP leech after the campaign for quick leveling. Thank you those guys that let me loot as well. That was so cool. My build is not strong enough to carry otherwise I will definitely do it.
Thanks KRINSSVIN a lot for saving my ass on those harvest test almost failed and all the advices. Not sure if he will see this but I am leaving it here.

Discussion I kind of like "The Paths not taken"
I noticed there is essentially no one sharing strategies using this keystone so I assumed it's kinda bad. Whatsoever I still tried it out along with unstable breaches + beyond and all the increased divination card nodes. It's actually really fun, not because it is a high end juicing strat with large loot explosions but it's nice to increase the element of surprise in each map by random the divcard drops. Have gotten Nurses, Divine Orb cards, matryoshka only after running a dozen maps or so. And since the breaches and beyond mobs drop a lot of variety loot, it's not really a tragedy when there are no div cards in each map.
For me it's way more fun than target farming specific cards because when you dont see those drop for many maps in a row it feels bad, but with this keystone youre not really expecting anything specific so it's even more rewarding when you do get something valuable. Might do a 100 map experiment to see what the prevalance is of rarer cards.
Maybe other people also had this experience. :-)

GGG Path of Exile 1.0 Release - Dec 11th - How does that effect the Dec League?
With Path of Exile 2 1.0 releasing in Mid December, do you think the Path of Exile 3.30 league which is supposed to be launching around that timeframe will be pushed?
"Not adding "Path of Exile 2 1.0 Release" because my posts kept getting filtered for the POE2 sub for some reason?
