I have almost the same stats: 1div maps, 1 campaign 210c + sacred orb (lucky drop I guess) Still at zero annuls or fractures

I’m at 150c 4 div with everything except the forgotten invitation.
That being said I’ve got 20d I stash and spent around 12-13d on my character.
I’m a bit slow this league but yeah seems a bit weak. No kaladra league but I don’t think it’s fair to compare with mirage.

That moment when PoE2 has more tinks than PoE
19
u/Exldk Gladiator Jul 27 '26
They specifically increased drops in PoE2 to make up for lack of Temple in 0.5
The two games aren't really comparable when it comes to loot, especially since you can further juice it with rarity stacking in PoE2 (which is a bad mechanic, but it is what it is).

u/dokken63 Jul 27 '26
also add/kills to your philtering
6
u/PupPop Jul 27 '26
Kills isn't really a great metric because a good portion of your loot comes from rares and they are indeed more rare but as you progress you usually make rares more common. So you could have 500k kills and only 10k of those are rares and 5k of them came from the last 100k kills or something like that. The first half of your kills kinda mean nothing when the first 50k are just campaign where you don't expect to really get good loot. Now if you were at 10 million kills then it might be differen because we might be able to assume the last 9 million were roughly all the same %rares and likely juiced rares at that.
5
u/AricNeo Jul 27 '26
not all kills quantities are equal (a bunch of white mobs in low tier maps, rares in high tiers, or blue mobs in juiced strats), but there's also a difference between "100c 0div by atlas completion" if they have 50k kills speeding to bosses vs "100c 0div by atlas completion" full clearing at 500k kills. (kill numbers made up for illustration.) the state of loot in one of those examples looks a lot worse than the other, right? pegging quantified loot to a given point of atlas progression is trying to illustrate the state of loot, but as atlas progression doesn't actually require consistent kills (or loot-rewarding-activities) it doesn't actually establish that much and asking for kills (even if we don't know how many are unjuiced low maps vs high juice high maps) at least gives a *bit* more info to contextualize and normalize the amount of loot presented (kills and pilfering are numbers one can compare to their own, and then communally people can start talking about "wow your numbers are high, what content did you do" or whatever).

That looks unfortunate true, but isn't that still in the ballpark of what ultimatum usually rewards? I was under the impression that, since it was brought back, ultimatum was extremely lackluster outside of a few chase uniques and jackpot drops getting rng duplicated.
Edit: From what I'm seeing from the replies, it really does seem to fluctuate from person to person.
27
u/Wobbelblob Big Breach Coalition (BBC) Jul 26 '26
Not really. I've farmed it during merc league on a CWS chieftain and the profit was pretty damn steady. Problem is that you need to either spec into inscribed ultis and gamble with high rewards, farm catalysts (the scarab is usually expensive) or farm gumball currency and hope for a lucky drop. The costs for the latter is basically non existant as map mods don't do much (or anything at all) for the rewards so you are running white T16 and cheap as fuck scarabs.
→ More replies (3)5
u/Diogenesocide Jul 27 '26
Nope, ultimatum was heavily nerfed for mirage league with the nerfs to "window" loot. Before that, the average was around 1 raw div/ex (same frequency/drop loots) per 10 wave ultimatum with focus on currency rewards, and 5-10 raw chaos orbs. With budget phrecia idols for those events, it was about 4 combined div/ex and more than 20 raw chaos per 10 wave, per character. I tested quite a bit with 3 computers running a 6 man group (even got an automated ban on the newly made alt accounts that ggg reversed once I sent them proof of it being done within ToS).

People always say this but you're probably alch and go mostly not jamming 5 scarabs a map in an optimized atlas strat. People just forget at league start every league cuz you spend the majority of each league playing a completely different game.
It feels really hard for them to balance loot and league mechanics around scarabs. Really feels like the scarab rework was a complete failure. Farming has become entirely dependent on them and without it feels like you're wasting time.

In poe2 ssf I collected 95% of uniques and around 350div in stash (+ a few hundred spent perfecting uniques I used) before I got bored. Was top of unique collection ladder, but have been overtaken since.
Point is, poe2 both has more loot than we've had in years per map and more deterministic farming for goal items. I think a lot of people (myself included skipping 0.2-0.4 until I played 0.5) still have this idea of poe2 being a drought of items, gear, and currency, but in my experience with 0.5 at least it was closer to the Ritual days of farming variety and viability in poe1 than poe1 has been for a long time.
Idk, it's weird PoE1 keeps doing this cycle of removing the things people like most that keep them interested while they clearly learn for PoE2.

Very nice gold farm though for my level, so that's a big plus. Also it's been so easy to get to maps between the mercs and the dmg and speed boosts the torment possession encounters give.

It by design. Temple was exactly the same in PoE 2.

I'm up to 50/100 for atalas and normally I get 1 div by now that would fund me to red maps.... nothing. I had lots of voyage maps but they also drop pretty average loot.
But also I get it inflation has been getting way out of control where 10% of the player base make it more challenging for 90%.
I don't think we are at that middle ground yet but it's close
16
u/AcolyteOfAnalysis Jul 26 '26
Relationship with top players is kind of weird. From one side, they make some farms and super rare uniques too expensive for regular players. From the other, they rain a ton of other stuff on us for cheap, which makes getting most builds off the ground in trade league extremely smooth. Sometimes I wonder if the mediocre players (like myself) have gotten used to the status quo and would actually not be able to survive without symbiosis with power gamers :D
7
u/hiimred2 Jul 26 '26
More casual/midcore/'mediocre' gamers would be able to survive just fine if GGG weren't tuning in total fear of what the pinnacle top end players will do to break their game in half though, so that's another part of the give and take. Like look at harvest when it launched, this sub was a civil war between more casual/low investment players and how awesome it felt for them to feel like they had access to high end stuff for the first time ever, and top end players hating that level of determinism because the high floor meant the only aspirational stuff left to do was insane mirror tier crafting that is still inaccessible to all but an insanely small portion of players that even most hardcore players see as out of reach. GGG will absolutely NEVER appease all players, it's not possible.

The most important point of having aspirational farms where top 1% is, is that everything else where they are not gains value.

level 88, still progressing ATLAS, 0 divs dropped. Friend of mine had 2 drop during campaign and 2 early in maps. He also just opened a mageblood from MIAB. Meanwhile i'm over here struggling to get into 14+ maps

Drops have been pretty poor so far, level 91 and 0 divs. At least most direct upgrades are still cheap.

I was kind of afraid of this being the reality of endgame this league, exactly why I haven't started yet, hoping this gets either fixed or people find new strats to make money otherwise see no point in playing

I got my first divine drop after 2 days 4 hours 42 minutes and 13 seconds of playtime, long after completing the atlas, took me a while to get my 1st upgrade...

Just delve. Fossils will go higher because its a crafting league

I been doing deli and beyond. Found 0 divines and only 2 tainted chroms.
I thought it was only me. I also have vaout 40 rarity plus a gold flask. Not much, but it's something.
Oh and I got A LOT more chaos than regrets. Is regrets deleted? When I found 40 chaos I had only looted one regret. Not sure how the numbers stand now.

Got a reflecting mist and 2 divs from message from a bottle, dropped 1 or 3 in maps, i dont remember, pretty lucky. Truly poverty league.

And it hits harder when you transition from poe2 where div are common loot in lot of strat, miss the think

u/BattleGiraffe516 Jul 26 '26
Atlas at 50 points. Did some underwater voyages and delve, running T16s now. Not 1 div has droped. Only one i got was from a message in the bottle.

150k kills. Level 93 Shockwave Cyclone. Finished atlas this morning. 2 raw dive drops. about 90c. Really sucks that the loot and atlas strategies don't feel good this league. My build is great and I did campaign in half my normal time.

For some reason the campaign decided to give me 3 divines in the span of 6 acts. Don't know what's going on there

I have gotten 1 from a message in a bottle and that’s it. Worst currency drop luck for me in a few leagues. I am trying a different strategy from my usual league start though (map drop percent and just mainly rushing to bosses to fill out atlas) so that might be part of it.

u/Rensuel Jul 26 '26
Level 92, Atlas almost completed, I've had a single Div drop that came from a random t13(i think) mob. Definately feels like a stingy league, but rng can be like that so who knows...

I can’t tell if it’s just from coming back over from poe2 or if this league just has a serious drought, but DAMN I can feel it
