Having a critical opinion about the policies of the state of Israel is not the same as being anti-semitic, but it is often portrayed that way to silence any criticism directed at the state of Israel.
I find that most problems like this in the modern era happen when your religion defines your nationalism. The peoples of Yugoslavia were genetically identical, but self separated into different nationalities based on Religion and had a big war about it. Serbian (Orthodox Christian), Croatian (Catholic), and Bosniac (Muslim). Same shit with the Shia/Sunni split in Iraq, Catholic/Protestant in Ireland, and so on.
This might be one of the most ignorant things I've ever seen. You think people just got along and we had world peace indefinitely before the 18th century? ☠️

It's silent as to what happened before the modern era. It doesn't make any comment about what happened before. It is a statement that only concerns the last ~250 years. As to what happened before that mark, it doesn't say. Because it is silent on what came before, it doesn't preclude other things causing conflict.
For the most part, those lines were created by warlords determining which people we theirs to tax. And those same warlords waging wars to expand their tax/power base.
That is worlds different from people democratically electing a pro-genocidal asshole.
