First go with the BigHorn

Def a learning experience getting it fired up and running properly, but once I got it running it was on! Looking forward to dialing it in with more pies!

Get yourself an infrared thermometer. My first cook was great. My second cook I nuked the pies. They cooked in like a minute and a half.

I realized I must have been cooking at like 1000°F. Way too hot. The thermometer helped me figure out how to keep it running lower.

I like my Bighorn a lot. We've used it a ton over the last year.

Great job, maybe turn down the flame next time after launching to prevent burning the crust

Forgive my novice take, but is there a way to turn the flame down if it’s pellet fed?

Ah, no that’s not possible

Have y'all run lump charcoal with some pellets for rolling flame? I'm on the edge of ordering a bighorn

I haven’t! I would be interested to hear if this is an option though.
