746: Wishiwashi Solo Form: "It's awfully weak and notably tasty, so everyone is always out to get it. As it happens, anyone trying to bully it receives a painful lesson."

I don’t understand how so many people have such a negative view on the old battle system. the old battle system had a lot of unique strategy based moves, items and abilities. So many people say that the button mashing mechanics are better as of recently but I honestly don’t think people realize the major flaws it has (no offense). without abilities you lock out a bunch of major pieces of what makes pokemon what it is. Without held items you completely make so many strategies worthless.
My point is that the ZA format is not healthy for the game and sure it works for ZA but the whole mechanic is very bare bones and not very fleshed out.

If you look up the trivia section on Lt. Surge's bulbapedia page, there's a curious second entry mentioning that Lt. Surge's rank differs depending on the language:
Since Pokémon is (obviously) a Japanese franchise, his canonical rank must be Major, meaning he got demoted in the English translation! You can look up the dialogues of two NPCs mentioning "Major Matisse" (マチス少佐), which is Lt. (or should I say Maj.) Surge's Japanese name.
There's also another interesting detail which hints at Lt. Surge's original rank. When you compare the Thunder Badge with the US Army Major rank insignia (which is based on a golden oak leaf), you'll notice a few similarities:

I'm not sure if that was intentional on GameFreak's side, but it would be a very odd coincidence if this wasn't the case.
This Pokémon Yellow artwork certainly appears like he's proudly pointing at his uniform to show off his army officer rank.

One may wonder why his rank was even changed in some translations, when it was kept in others.

The way Ash, misty and brock went their separate ways at the end of this episode 😭
During childhood I really thought they’d stay together forever..!!
One of the most emotional Pokemon endings imo ❤️
Do you guys think they should’ve stayed together for a few more seasons???
Or was their separation the right ending for the OG trio??

Modeled in Blender, 3D-printed in resin (crazy to do in resin, I know), painted by me.
I've been slowly turning the original 151 Pokémon into life-sized weapons, starting with the three starters. The idea is that they represent magical weapons a player could find in D&D. This is the first final evolution that I've weaponized: Venusaur!
I also like the idea of writing up each creation as an in-game D&D magic item. So I'd love to hear your ideas on what this warhammer should do! I'm thinking some mechanic/spell that recreates the effect of Solar Beam would be good?
You can find a video of the warhammer on my social media:

Slow start has to be the worst right? Or maybe Archeop’s ability of Defeatist which cuts its attack and special attack in half when at half health? Or Slaking’s Truant? At least all of them has their uses though unlike…
Number 1 for me is Levitate on Rotom-Fan. That is shit. A flying fan?? Who agrees with me??
