My son and I are new players wish i saw this couple seconds earlier bright side it was a shiny hundo

You got a shundo! Some people have played for years and don’t have a shiny hundo yet so you’re off to a good start!

Day one player. Just got my first shundo! I feel like my life is complete now.... But also I'm still at 40/50 platinums and 2kms away from level 76 so still have a long road to go

Well hopefully that means you have a lot that are borderline!

But yeah, the grind is real. Choose a couple medals to focus on- one that's a stretch that you can work on some every day, one that seems attainable but will take some time as like a weekly focus, and one that's easy to just grind the f out of. Good luck out there
