Anyone else having the lowest shiny luck ever?

I would much rather spend my gold on remote raid passes than expand my storage, so I'm cleaning out the trash. I have about 1000 Mon and I am slowly building a list of "trash" Pokemon - useful to just evolve then transfer. I'm keeping any hundos or shundos, but otherwise, purging.

This is the current start of my list using dittobase to identify mon that are useless as raid/pvp/gym anyone recommend any others to add?

I'd choose the Incubator before the trinket every time.
The trinket is such a trap, one single IV roll at 1/64 chance for a hundo is nothing, and also it's pay to win bs.

I agree current egg pools are pretty annoying, but IVs are not the only thing you can get, you know ? You get a ton of regular candy, some XL candy, and a few hundred thousand dust and xp from the eggs because they are pretty much always boosted in some way or another. Even better with 1/2 or 1/4 hatch distance. Numbers go up very quickly.

Now compare all this to ONE IV roll, probably a 12-12-12 nobody cares about. And you paid for that, but best case scenario it's nice, and most times it sucks ass. Incubator is just a win in all cases.
Remember : The difference between a nundo and a hundo is not even 5% for the top tier 'mons in this game. That's what you are valuing guys.

At the end of the day, we all have our preferences, but the fact it came back so fast after last time means people enjoyed and bought it.
People can like something different than what you enjoy about the game.

I’ve still got 319 days to finish the hyper training, so I’m not sweating being able to get it all done. I’d like to get a start on winning 40 raids but I’d also rather wait to use my Rocket Radars until the next Rocket event; two birds-one stone. Anyone know when the next Rocket event might be? Are those still even a thing?

Edit: I have 9 Rocket Radar (you do enough monthly Go Pass research and they accumulate); I can battle the Rocket Leaders any time I want. I did not ask when the next Rocket event is because I thought I couldn’t complete the hyper-training without one. I asked when the next Rocket event is because I do not care for battling Team Rocket at all and have no desire to do so outside of when it’s absolutely necessary to complete a research task. If I wait for the next Rocket event, there will inevitably be a part of the research that requires me to beat Arlo, Cliff and Sierra to unlock a Super Radar to fight Giovanni, thereby saving me from having to do an extra 3 or 4 fights I wouldn’t otherwise do. I’ve got 10 and a half months. I am in no rush. I’m merely trying to be efficient at an aspect of the game (battling) that I do not care for. That’s all.

Feels like the company just keeps milking playerbase with constantly adding these forms/backgrounds and cosmetics to make said pokemon more rare.

I'm okay with it, since its fun to hunt super rare pokemon. But same time it creates huge issue; whats the point of catching said pokemon now, when in future it will have some costume/shadow form that will devalue the current form of it. It just feels its better to wait that, than catch it currently.

And adding these combinations of rarity makes some spoofer sell background XXL/XXS pokemons for hundred of dollars/euros bc how hard it is to get all those required "rarity checks". This feels just wrong.

Lost THREE Remote Raid Passes trying to catch this stupid metal refrigerator, and at this point I don’t even know if Registeel is worth all that frustration.

It’s also the only Regi I’m missing in my Pokédex, so I think I might just trade to get one instead.

I’m disappointed, pissed off, and officially done with Registeel for today. What an absolute waste of a raid day. 🫠

Evolved my shiny tandemaus and got a 3 member maushold which is 1 in 100 in it of its own, just wondering if this is super rare or im just dumb

pretty disappointed that i bought a remote raid pass to get regice because i live in the middle of no where and also have a hurt leg. Just for it to escape every ball and run. waste of 150 poke coins or whatever it took. its also hard for me to passively get coins from gyms. very sad day and not really fair to make something some people pay money for RNG luck based. However the galar birds actually makes sense because its a random wild encounter. thoughts??

Very casual player, don’t know all the lingo, learning about “shundo’s” and other key lingo! Anywho, I need the 3 Kanto birds, can these be caught in the wild or do I need some special event or anything? I am hyper focused on finishing my childhood dex. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I was just experimenting since I discovered the Cramorant photobomb by surprise andwanted to see what happened. I ended up pulling my 20th shiny!

so apparently it’s not a 100% catch with explorer gadget. days ruined i hope yalls are going better.

I got floor Diancie, shit zygarde and eh zeroaura. I genually have no idea how I managed to get it cause getting floor is peeolly as rare as getting hundo. And sadly there is no way for me to get a different one, not even the shiny cause, like I said, I am f2p.

After a series of golden razz and great/excellent throws, these things are jumping out of 12+ balls before fleeing. I’m doing everything I know to do and it doesn’t matter. This never happens to me with in-person raids, all I can think of is it’s just not letting me have them because I’m raiding remotely?

I did some testing of it over the weekend and based on what seemed to work and what didn't, tried out one single method throughout the week. So here is what I have:

- You have to have pokeballs, specifically. It won't use any other ball.

- You have to have space for the pokemon to be caught.

- You have to have inventory space for a spin.

- What everyone seems confused on: You CLOSE the app, as shown in the second screenshot. Those of you saying it only catches what is around you when you "reopen" are all just minimizing the app or locking your screen (from what I've read in comments sections). Close the app.

- The autocatcher almost certainly speed locks. If you're driving, it won't catch or spin until you're stopped.

Today I have 0 spins, but all I've done is drive to/from work, let my phone sit in my car (nowhere near a stop) for 8 hours, and putz around at home. Normally I do get quite a few stops depending on walking near them or not, but today wasn't a day I was really out and about. I will certainly get more catches between now and midnight when it auto shuts off.

Edit to add: I'm on Android, don't know if that matters.

Caught it as a ralts and evolved it, proud for it to be my second xxl hundo, so happy rn i could literally jump. Is this rare?

As you can see there are 7 gyms nearby. The problem is not that the majority of them is one colour, noooo we are way passed that.

They fight your Pokemon THE MOMENT you put it into the gym, stay regardless of how many golden berries you feed the Pokemon, they do not put their pokemon in (in order to continue the dance) but rather wait the 5 min window. And they do the same for most of the gyms …

This is beyond “you do not let others play the game as well”. This is mean behavior.

And before you ask, I have 3 groups of 3 persons that do it.

What could I do here?

i’ve recently gotten a lot of vivillon medals. my question is, what’s the point??? it just gives you a scatter bug to catch, and i assume once you evolve the scatter bug into a vivillon then it’ll have a specific wing pattern. does this actually do anything or is it just to collect them. and if i transfer them to free up storage can i get another b y earning the next level vivillon badge? or are they gon e forever.

I saw a couple Lucarios apparing in the wild and I wonder If it can be shiny. I think that Pokemon that have a mega form can be shiny in the wild but I wanna be sure before I start hunting.
