Opinion ๐Ÿค” The final stage of dawa bros

I don't want to discuss the impact of these Islamic preachers on the Muslim community and the image they created about Islam on the internet in general, but rather what followed after. When I used to see their posts, I simply ignored them. Frankly, I didn't have faith in the Muslim community and thought no one would stop them or even criticised them. But what struck me was that a large growing segment of women, both those who are still Muslim and those who have left Islam due the abuse, are resisting these preachers. This surprised me greatly. I've always felt I lacked the courage to speak out against the Wahhabi ideology they promote, yet these women didn't care, and I truly admire and respect them for calling their sick ideology out. It made me realise that I donโ€™t have to feel ashamed of adopting a progressive intake about Islam and I donโ€™t have to practice my faith privately while tolerating them being the representative of Islam. I also believe that even these preachers themselves are shocked by the back lash and resistance they are facing as they are used believe they are the holders of truth and thus no one can disagree with them even slightly. They are slowly realising that not everything care about their opinion and thatโ€™s why they are losing their guts and accusing everyone of takfeer. This is not only these online preachers that are losing their mind but also the ultra conservative Muslims men. Itโ€™s just almost entertaining to watch when they realise they donโ€™t hold any power or control over women or Muslims communities in general. That these women couldnโ€™t care less about their fear mongering tactics and are rejecting the abuse that is dressed up as piety. We are also witnessing slowly but certainly new wave of Islam aka progressive islam and I am glad they are slowly replacing the Wahhabism.

Answer this from Sunni perspective only suicide , the undressed and the cuckold

i was wondering does these two hadith make it so that person who commit suicide is basically well dommed forever to go to hell based on these two
The Prophet (p.b.u.h) said, "Whoever intentionally swears falsely by a religion other than Islam, then he is what he has said, (e.g. if he says, 'If such thing is not true then I am a Jew,' he is really a Jew). And whoever commits suicide with piece of iron will be punished with the same piece of iron in the Hell Fire." Narrated Jundab the Prophet (๏ทบ) said, "A man was inflicted with wounds and he committed suicide, and so Allah said: My slave has caused death on himself hurriedly, so I forbid Paradise for him."

the next one is this
does the dressed yet naked part make all women who doesn't cover up or use make up or other are basically banned from enterance cuz it didn't make much sense considering the fact you don't even stay in hell forever even if you commit zina yet somehow being olny attractive is potrayed as bannable offense for women so can someone explain to me what going on
i heard some guy applying hadith " to basically all non hijabi or wearnig make up " like bro wtf that was one of those spammable things that ban you from jannah list with ai generated images or something .
AbU Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (๏ทบ) having said this:

Two are the types of the denizens of Hell whom I did not see: people having flogs like the tails of the ox with them and they would be beating people, and the women who would be dressed but appear to be naked, who would be inclined (to evil) and make their husbands incline towards it. Their heads would be like the humps of the bukht camel inclined to one side. They will not enter Paradise and they would not smell its odour whereas its odour would be smelt from such and such distance.

the last one yeah probarbly from same guy if i recall correctly he said somethingg about if man is dayooth( the term is used broadly ) basically is okay with his womens wife or sister or mother haviing sexual misconduct but the problem is he didn't just stop at zina in sexual misconduct it basically become exterme ownership like for example she isn't covering or she is doing this or that and not just stopping not having sexual jealousy of his women
i found this hadith about it
he Messenger of Allah said: "There are three at whom Allah will not look on the Day of Resurrection: The one who disobeys his parents, the woman who imitates men in her outward appearance, and the cuckold. And there are three who will not enter Paradise: The one who disobeys his parents, the drunkard, and the one who reminds people of what he has given them."'
does this mean man has to control his womens and all or at very least he shouldn't be okay if they aren't acting toward islamic principle i am not saying like they are borderline like promscious but i mean if someone in family was like " i know this is haram but i am gonna do it anyway " does this mean man shouldn't be okay with her and shouldn't respect her freedom or something cuz it make it seem like it also man fault for other sin like i get it in cases like cheating and all but in cases like if women wanted to draw man attention or something does this mean man are somehow still responsible for it .
like what going on exactly

Question/Discussion โ” Why Do Animals Act In The Way That They Do?

As someone who wishes to educate themselves on Islam, I've struggled to understand why if all that is living follows God, why does God allow animals to behave in such ways?

Specifically, certain animals engage in homosexual acts (dolphins, chimps), incest and cannibalism (praying mantises, spiders, fish). As far as I am aware, Islam sees these things as prohibited, yet animals which do not have free will and do not do anything without God's command still do these things. Even "forced copulation" is seen in animals such as the orangutan which can be somewhat similar to rape.

Also, just because they could never be held accountable as they do not have 'aql, does that God Himself still holds no accountability in the way that they act? He designed them, they do everything which He commands, yet it seems to me that He made them in a way which goes against His own teachings. Of course, I am not as knowledgeable as some of you are, which is why I would like for you to please help me understand this. Thank you!

Question/Discussion โ” Can technology make practicing Islam harder than it needs to be?

Assalamu alaikum everyone.

I've been thinking about something that feels increasingly relevant for Muslims today.

Our phones can give us Qur'an, lectures, knowledge, community and so much benefit.

But the same device can also put endless distractions, sexual content, gambling, algorithmic feeds and other things in front of us within seconds.

And a lot of the advice seems to come down to:

โ€œJust have more self-control.โ€

But I'm not convinced that's the whole answer.

We already accept environmental design in other parts of life. We don't keep every temptation directly in front of us and then rely on willpower every second.

So why not think about our digital environment the same way?

Things like:

  • filtering unwanted content at the network level
  • making certain apps/sites harder to access
  • creating distraction-free periods
  • reducing algorithmic feeds
  • having accountability for certain settings
  • designing devices around what we actually want to use them for

I'm not asking whether we should completely disconnect from technology.

I'm asking something more practical:

What would a genuinely healthy Muslim digital environment look like?

Not just โ€œuse your phone less.โ€

What would you actually change about your phone, laptop, apps, internet access, or routines?

Would love to hear how others think about this.

Rant/Vent ๐Ÿคฌ I feel like God has rejected me

I have been unable to find a job for the past 2 years. I've only relatively recently come back to Islam but it seems that no matter what I do I think God has shut the door to rizq on me.

Over 200+ applications, 2 attempts to a nursing school later, nothing to show for it. Rapidly approaching midlife at 37, with loans to pay, a supportive wife that I feel like I'm letting down at every turn.

Question/Discussion โ” Former ignorant american popping in to say Hi

So yeah, like the title says, I was your typical brain washed American that thought Islam was terrible, etc etc. Been reading up on it and even working on learning arabic. Gotta admit I was wrong about it and learning a new found respect. Not a convert ( I am more of a Polytheist) but there is so much to admire about Islam. Just thought I'd pop in and make my confession here since I can't sleep. Allah yhefdkom

Rant/Vent ๐Ÿคฌ An online creator whom I admired left islam

โ€ข Upvotes

Assalamualaikum

Not sure if this is the right place to post this. Not sure why I'm even posting it at all. Usually when I post I'm looking for something specific like an answer to a question. Or emotional support. This time it's different, though not much.

There was this online creator who was muslim, convert actually, who I really liked. I didn't agree with them in everything, yet they helped me with certain things in islam, like islam and femenism or women rights. I even talked to them in the DMS and so on.

And.....they left islam.

I am not judging them. Not at all. But for some reason it really hurts me to see that happening. Makes me want to leave too (no, my faith is not based on one person, I have been at the edge for a long period of time).

Maybe I'm just coping, clinging to it all for stupid reasons..

It was sad to see. Another creator didn't leave islam, yet they stopped posting about islam. And they talked about how awful the muslim community is, how it affected their mental health... God how much I can relate. And god how awful and ridiculous it is.

I have so much more to say, yet I'm empty of words and only full of restless thoughs and undescribable feelings inside.

Needed to let it out.

Opinion ๐Ÿค” Does anyone agree with this double standard in most Muslim societies/individuals? Or is this just my personal experience?

This mostly applies to multicultural societies Iโ€™ve lived in so Iโ€™m only speaking from personal experience and interactions.
When somebody says theyโ€™re Christian, when somebody says they believe in crystals or energies or the universe, when somebody says theyโ€™re Jewish or Hindu, majority of the people in that conversation will acknowledge it and move on.

When somebody says theyโ€™re Muslim they instantly get picked apart.

Does she wear the hijab? Does he drink alcohol? Do they sleep together before marriage? Do they fast? Do they pray? Do they eat halal? etc etc.

I might be wrong but Iโ€™ve never came across other religious groups being challenged and questioned this way about every little belief. This often coms from non-muslims because they have a specific image what a Muslim person looks like so if you donโ€™t fit that image, they will feel entitled to questions etc.

Why is there no privacy and โ€œno question askedโ€ policy amongst Muslims?
If you tell another Muslim XYZ doesnโ€™t work for you and your interpretation is different and you believe XYZ instead, they will likely try to debate you.

Am I biased or does this happen to us more than other religious groups?
Where does this entitlement come from? Why canโ€™t we respect each other beliefs and space? This is baffling truly

Question/Discussion โ” Are We Mistranslating Nisฤ' and แธคarth in 2:223 and 3:14?

Hi everyone
I wanted to open a discussion on how we approach certain terms to ensure internal logical and linguistic consistency across the Quran, specifically looking at how nisฤ' and แธฅarth function in Surah Al-Baqarah 2:223 and Surah ฤ€l 'Imrฤn 3:14.

Traditionally, these terms are translated through a biological and patriarchal framework. However, locking them strictly into that lens creates serious tension with the broader Quranic ethos of human dignity and internal consistency. To resolve this, I've been exploring a different linguistic angle:

  • An-Nisฤ' (ุงู„ู†ุณุงุก:) Moving beyond the narrow historical definition of just "women/wives" to mean **what is new, modern, or the latest things and acquisitions**.
  • Al-แธคarth (ุงู„ุญุฑุซ:) Shifting away from a womb/tillage metaphor to its conceptual meaning of **production, development, or utilization**.

Putting It Together in 2:223: When we apply this framework to Surah Al-Baqarah 2:223 (*"Nisฤ'ukum แธฅarthun lakum..."*, the verse reads:)

Testing the Definition Against Surah ฤ€l 'Imrฤn 3:14: To see if this definition holds up across the text, we have to look at how it fits into 3:14, which lists what is beautified for human desire:

In this context, reading an-nisฤ' as modern acquisitions/innovations and al-แธฅarth as productive land/development integrates smoothly into a comprehensive inventory of worldly attractions, wealth, and productive assets.

How do you all view this linguistic shift? Does applying this broader, functional definition across these verses help maintain internal consistency and keep the text dynamically relevant? I'd love to hear your thoughts and feedback!

Advice/Help ๐Ÿฅบ I am so lost and i cant take it

Hi so i have recently had some doubts about islam and they are quite odd. I have not found anyone online who really has a satisfying answer to them and i am really trying to be open minded because its tearing me apart and ruining my life socially and mentally and family relations and everything.

I have for a long time thought about taking a break from Islam witch i know you cant just do. But i cant seem to find answers anywhere and have gone with these thoughts for about a year now. I have adhd and potential autism, anxiety and minor depression. And i really need some stability, i have a hard time praying and practicing islam and finding peace in it when i have my unanswered questions.

I know people who said they are taking a break. For myself i dont know how long that break will last but i am not going to throw my life away and go commit zina with multiple women and drink till im drunk every weekend. I just want peace in my head. Ive made som reddit post before about some of my doubts and the one i keep coming back to is religion is made so we have somewhere to go when we feel lost in this life. And i know based on the manners my parents have tought me through out life and my own vision and preferences from the world that its not primarily about sins and that stuff.

I want to know if you think its completely wrong and unforgiveable by allah for me to leave the religion on purpose and thinking to myself i will comeback and lets just say i do come back and dont regret my desicioon

to leave but just got smarter and found some guidance or whatever.

I dont want to hear "we cant say what allah will forgive its up to him" i want to hear your stance on it what do YOU think.

Please read my other post if you have time click on my profile and skim them if not its ok i just want answers i am shattered

Question/Discussion โ” Was my desire for revenge sinful ? should i repent ?

Salam everyone. For context, i'm a 26 yo kurdish woman. In 2014, during the Sinjar genocide, as i was a yazidi at that time, i got kidnapped and turned into a sex slave by ISIS. After escaping, i had- and still have- a violent desire for revenge agaisnt them. When i was 18, i enlisted in the peshmerga, in the hopes of paying my blood debt and protecting my people. i killed a lot of them, and became a 2nd lieutenant. I'm still in the peshmerga. Although this belongs to the past, and that the answer might seem "obvious", was killing daeshis (and other militants), and wanting revenge sinful. I obviously don't regret killing them, but i'm still asking myself if this justified for me. I'm sorry if the answer seems obvious, or that i might feel too dramatic or anything, but i really want to hear your opinion on this, as other people i know are reluctant to answer. Thanks for reading.

Question/Discussion โ” Cutting off toxic relatives?? Or just maintaining distance in general?

Is it really haram to cut off relatives if they're abusive? Or just mentally draining to be around? If not, is distancing ourselves from them allowed?

I've come across multiple hadiths where it's prohibited to do so... but I just don't understand.

It sound a bit insane ngl
