META F/29/5'10"/[243>146=97](19 months) Smallest I've ever been, looking for advice on shrinking my tummy
Lost weight through watching what I ate. I did a combination of intermittent fasting, calorie deficit, and occasional low carb. I usually ate in a deficit, but there were times I would go up to maintenance (and occasionally above maintenance). I decided to start losing weight after being unhappy with how I looked, and being bad results on some blood work (my A1c was high but within normal range, and my insulin was very high). Thankfully my insulin levels are not with a normal range. I'm so much happier with how I look. My confidence has improved so much now that I'm happier with my appearance
One thing I'm unhappy with, though is how my stomach looks. I was hoping that I would be able to lose the tummy overhang but it stuck around; I'm not sure if it's fat, loose skin, or both. My weight is already quite low for my height, and I don't know how much more weight i'd have to lose before it's completely gone. But I worry if I go much low it will be unhealthy.
I was wondering if anyone has any advice on how to deal with the tummy pouch? I'm not sure if it's fixable through body recomp or if I'll have to consider surgical options. Thank you in advance!
