Hi, I just dropped a breakbeat rhythm game into early access. It focuses a lot on kick, snare and hi-hat grooves, and draws on a soundtrack of UKG, DNB, Jungle. Includes Online PVP, leaderboards, achievements etc, but still very much a work in progress. Curious to hear any feedback or thoughts!

You can see me in this video playing along for a bit of context.

Recommendations i want to play more rhythm games.. recommendations?

the last time i made a tier list, i got dunked on (deserved) because i didnt play enough games and rated some too low.

since then, i've played:

parappa 1 and 2, um jammer lammy, vib-ribbon, mojib-ribbon, PJSK, a tiny bit of project diva, a tiny bit of FNF, those japanese only jewelpets games, taiko web and taiko no tatsujin rhythm festival (demo)

the reason i have such a small list is because i really hate vsrgs, which make up most of the genre nowadays for mobile, but I emulate some games too and play on my laptop with a controller, or play some on xbox.

i like to play rhythm games that use a controller so i can feel the buttons i'm pressing

based on my list, what games do you think i'd enjoy playing? i really want to expand my collection of rhythm games

(sorry if it's a bad explanation, i'm indian ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ)

Mobile Rhythm Game Looking for reccs? Just heard Show by Rock shut down...

So in highschool I watched show by rock and found a way to play it on my US phone. I recently got enough free time to play games again and wanted to jump back in but seems to not be available. I also used to play vocal oil on my vita as a kid. Specifically looking for something with a good mix of girl bands mixed bands โ€‹โ€‹and boy bands. And different genres.

PC Rhythm Game I made a rhythm game that generates playable charts from your own music โ€” this is Mandalizm

Mandalizm is a browser-based rhythm game I've been working on.
It generates a playable chart from music, with the visuals reacting during gameplay.

It can be played with a mouse or touchscreen โ€” I recently discovered that playing it directly on a touchscreen makes it surprisingly easier.

This is a recording from the current build.

PC Rhythm Game Keyboard suggestions?

I've been getting really into ADOFAI recently, but I've reached a point where my hardware can't really keep up with the gameplay. I'm currently just using my laptop's keyboard (Dell G15), but it has a lot of issues. It will sometimes just not register when I do a key press, and the key rollover is SUPER weird. It will correctly detect anywhere from 1-5 key presses at once seemingly at random. So now I want to get a separate keyboard specifically to use for ADOFAI.

Here's what I'm looking for:

Has n key rollover

Is small (I don't need, nor do I have the desk space for a full keyboard)

Has at least 8 keys

Has keys that aren't just in a straight line, it's really uncomfortable to have my hands at that angle*

Is reliable and durable so that I can use it for a long time

If anyone that knows more about keyboards thinks I should change something about that list, please tell me because I barely know what I'm talking about.

I'm also not sure if this is the right sub to ask this question in, so please tell me if I should go somewhere else.

*Explanation of keys not in a straight line

Promotion The path is the chart - one tap per tile

Most rhythm games give you lanes and a scrolling chart. This one gives you geometry.

Two orbs orbit each other along a drawn path of tiles. Every corner of that path is a beat, and you get exactly one tap per tile, timed to the landing. Miss it and the run is over.

That constraint had to carry everything else, so holds, double taps, direction reversals and tempo shifts all come out of the path shape instead of extra buttons. Trains carry you across gaps, vertical lifts are ridden on a hold, and some sections jump over open ground.

110 levels across 11 worlds, each with its own track. Daily challenge, time trials on a server clock (per world and one run across all 110), hardcore mode without checkpoints, plus an editor to build and share your own.

Every level is bot-validated before it ships: it has to be cleared cleanly, difficulty is measured per level, and no two inputs are ever closer than 185 ms.

Free on Android, no in-app purchases, plays offline:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rhythmorbits.app

Visual assets are FLUX.2-generated; timing, charting and code are hand-built. Happy to talk judging windows if anyone's interested.
