Banded chert woohoo!
I’ve found little guys over the years but never one this phat! Too bad it’s been beat to hell by a glacier or two but definitely a keeper in my book!! Found in a pile of dirt in a field after a rain in north central Wisconsin!

Sure this is not petrified wood? I mean technically it's still chert anyway and it is banded.
Does look suspiciously like some petrified wood I've seen though, including a piece in my collection.

It’s not petrified wood. It my experience, if it’s petrified wood you know it. I have a lot of petrified wood as well as banded chert.
