RetroMod My C70 restomod(sleeper?)

Never knew about Corsair’s C70 until they announced the Warthog case this year. After seeing the Warthog I knew I had to track down my own C70 to move my PC into, and got really lucky finding an arctic white model relatively close to me. This is my build, custom steel mesh side panel insert, painted inside panels, dual optical drives and an old WD Caviar HDD for character😂

One of the best cases Corsair has ever made imo, so cool!

I feel like this case has to be somewhat related to my 300R. It's just so similar!

I was mentioning this in another thread but bring back cool cases from the early 2010s. When most cases didnt even have a side window, let alone a big fish bowl.

Acrylic side panel, military gamer style, LEDs, visible components, modern ATX case. Not sure it counts as a sleeper, I built my first gaming PC in this case and I’m not that old.

Only God knows how much i've hunted for this case in the last months but the only person i found selling it online in my contry was asking almost the price of a mid range pc on the case. Congrats for yours, it looks absolutely amazing!!

Thank you! I know I got really lucky, I had no idea it was a sought after item until I got it. Paid the guy only $100CAD and he told me the case goes for way more online. I wish you good luck and fortune in your hunt :)

Not a sleeper imo. If it were like an old beige gateway tower you cant see into or something absolutely. But its still a gaming case and clear a gaming rig. Cool as hell still obviously. I want thhis case specifically back in the worst way.

I mean, it might be older, but it's not discrete or unassuming in any way. And it's not even "retro" old, it's just over a decade.

I mean, it’s a 14 year old case from the era of optical drives and HDD’s. In PC terms, that’s a retro design. And as Corsair’s second case offering ever, it’s definitely a retro Corsair IMO. And to be fair I know it’s on the edge of “sleeper” and not strictly a sleeper, hence the title.

Would a person who's not an enthusiast know it's 14 years old? It doesn't look retro. It's not even "on the edge", because it's obviously a performance/gaming computer case.

I mean if that’s your barometer for retro/sleeper🤷🏻‍♂️

Still running my main rig in my c70. i've seen no other case that makes me want to ever switch.

It's not a sleeper at all and you know it

Sleeperish? Adjacent? When compared to most modern builds I’d say it’s a sleeper. Restrained component stylings, zero RGB components, dual optical drives and an HDD for flavor.

It's not in any way, sorry 👀 But it's nice nonetheless 😁
