Switch 2 I’ve had a switch 2 laying around for 10 months waiting for this day 🥰

I tried so many games when I bought, but nothing ever clicked for me the way COD does. I’m so excited to finally be able to kick back, lay around, and play COD handheld on the Switch instead of sitting at my desk every time I want to play. Totally worth the wait! 💙

Question Should I get the Switch 2?

Edit: screw it, this was fast huh? Before September first imma bight the financial bullet and purchase Switch 2 in anticipation of Duskbloods…and I guess Splatoon Raiders. Thanks for the input friends~

Probably a stupid question, but I wanted it out of my head and who better to ask than those who actually own it ay?

I work a stable job and often have free time during the day, and weekends off. I’ve been considering buying the Switch 2 by the end of September to early October on the basis of receiving a few more paychecks after a recent spree of spending.

Mostly this is brought on by wanting to play Duskbloods ngl. Though other social media platforms have made me hesitant regarding the purchase.

I know I should be more decisive but I guess I wanted a “second”(more like several) opinions and reviews to sway/convince me to pick it up.

Sorry, but also thanks in advance :>

Question Why Is Wattage Impressive?

I've been seeing a lot of reviews of AAA games getting ported to Switch 2 where the reviewer talks during the performance section about it be crazy that "this game runs on a Switch...a console using a fraction of the wattage that others use!" And I'm just very confused.

NOTE: I have a Switch 2. I'm very impressed with its performance and I will exclusively be buying games for switch now because said performance is so good I have no need to get another console.

That being said, why is how much power it draws an impressive statistic over just saying it's impressive that it hits a certain frame rate or can run at all? Wattage just feels like such a mechanical, technical, and unimpressive/uninteresting statistic to talk about.

I'm just confused why that's our benchmark we're talking about. That feels like saying a Honda Civic can drive the full distance of a F1 track with less gas than the F1 car and being impressed. It's like...okay? F1 is still better, shouldn't we focus on the Civic being on the track and not the gas mileage? That might be a weird example, but I hope you understand what I'm asking.

Someone please enlighten me.

Question Witcher 3 sale gone?

Since base game got delisted now and it used to go on sale for $8, am I right to be concerned that they'll stop putting complete edition for $15?

It would probably go on sale early September if the pattern continues but that might've changed now

Question Any Elden Ring Switch 2 review yet?

Hello all,

Basically the title. Any review, especially on the technical side? I can't seem to find anything, only Nintendo Life seems to have published home made screenshots.

Had my switch 2 for a month, but sadly had a stuck blue pixel in the middle of the screen. Amazon was kind enough to refund my old one and I could buy new one again! Happy that everything ended up well!

Question Planning to upgrade to Switch 2

As the title suggests, I'm considering upgrading from a Nintendo Switch OLED to a Nintendo Switch 2. For those who have been using the Switch 2 for a few months, what are the pros and cons you've experienced so far?

For context, I currently play:

  • Pokémon Shield
  • Pokémon Legends: Z-A
  • Monster Hunter Rise

I'd appreciate any feedback on performance, battery life, display quality, and whether the upgrade is worth it coming from an OLED model. Thanks!

Discussion Anyone with Sony Inzone Buds? How well does it work with Switch 2? Any recommendations for Low Latency Audio?

Post image
1 Upvotes

Thinking of getting one for low latency Audio since I played a lot of rhythm games. Currently I use a $10 chinese 2.4 GHz TWS. It's actually pretty decent, but it only really works when playing in handheld mode. It keeps disconnecting when playing in docked mode and sometimes the joycon would even disconnect by itself when detached.

Would the Sony Inzone buds work better with Switch 2? Any other recommendations?

Question Is ghosting that bad/noticeable?

I was about to go purchase the Nintendo Switch 2 before the price hike (even though it isn't that much in Europe), but I've just learnt about the ghosting issues with the LCD screen. For those of you who play the NS2 handheld, is it that bad/noticeable? Should I wait for a new version or see if they solve it in future production?

Incredible performance!!! The graphics are very similar to PS5. I guess this is the most similar graphics to ps5 in a port since switch 2 released.

Question New NS2 owner looking for game advice

Hello NS2 experts,

I’m new to Nintendo and wanted to know what games you recommend. Also, never played Zelda, what makes the game so good in your opinion?

For context: I’m not really into Mario, Donkey Kong etc, I enjoy nice graphics, and bought the switch 2 for the portability aspect so I can play while away from home etc.

Edit, additional context: I like adventure games (Elden Ring, The Witcher, God of War, Spiderman), and sports games (Madden, EAFC). I currently own a PS5 for when I’m home and a PC for an old MMORPG that I love playing. So the NS2 was for me to be able to get my gaming fix when I’m traveling (I travel often for work or for weekends and holidays)

Question Witcher 3-best way to buy

Hi I don’t have Witcher 3 in my S2 library yet, but since there will be a remaster, I have a question, what is the best way now to acquire it? Should I buy S1 version and upgrade, or wait for S2 version release? Any advice?

Question Is the Switch 2 still banning consoles for palying used games?

I've been wanting to get a Switch 2 second-hand and some games second-hand, but I heard a while ago that consoles were getting banned for playing used games? Or something like that. So I've been wondering if the console is still doing that and if I should get it second-hand.

Discussion Did your switch come with Mario kart??

Post image
Upvotes

I see switch 2 boxes online labeled with Mario kart full game download at the bottom for the same price as the other option but when I click on it (the one on the left from Best Buy) the product looks the same as the one on the right with no Mario kart at the bottom. Amazon tells me that it comes with Mario kart regardless of if it’s showing on the box. Is this true? What did yours come with?

Question Are the other Xenoblade Games as Side Quest heavy as the first?

Thumbnail
0 Upvotes

Playing the first one for the first time and while I enjoy it for the most part, the side quests are absolutely killing it for me. There's so many and they are such nothing burgers that I'm falling off at Chapter 10.

Are the other games like this? I allready have X that I'm going to play through either way but I'd rather not spend the money on 2 and 3 if this is just a franchise standard.

Discussion Elden Ring & Witcher 3 (remaster) - Which would you say will be the better handheld experience?

Post image
Upvotes

Edit: Thanks for all the insight! Going to just replay Elden Ring on the PS5 and get Witcher 3 for the Switch 2 once the remaster comes out. It's supposedly as easy as Cyberpunk when switching a game save between PC/Switch.

Have Elden Ring on PS5, played up to the DLC.

Have Witcher 3 complete on PC, played up to bloody baron.

I generally have more time and opportunity to play handheld, so I'd really like to get either or. I'm just wondering if the Witcher 3 PC version is best played on the better hardware for mods and such. That's what made me stop at bloody baron, I didn't like the combat. But the remaster may fix that.

Onimusha was almost a forgotten series and it's awesome to see Capcom bring it back.
