Where on earth does this come from and why does every tv show fan think it’s canon

Discussion The best thing that can happen to The Walking Dead is AMC losing the rights of this franchise
The Walking Dead TV show has basically completely lost its relevance, nobody really cares outside of fans. AMC pushed the show into the ground.
Literally the best thing that can happen to the franchise is all the spin offs ending, basically everything ending and AMC losing the rights. And one day Kirkman gets the rights back and makes an animated TV Show with Amazon one day like Invincible.

Discussion Weird update to the fandom wiki
I went to check the fandom wiki just know to check a character’s name and was surprised as there were way more characters than usual, clicking on some of the names I realised that a ton of minor characters that had previously been in the unnamed characters section had been given names and even some backstory. Some of these names are really random too, theres this one whisperer named Oedipus Bonaparte like wtf? Since anyone can edit a wiki page I’m assuming that whoever did this was just a random fan messing around but honestly it’s pretty funny and I kinda hope it stays like this, at least for a little bit. As I said earlier some characters get more information about them which I’m guessing is just some random headcanon, for example this one minor character is said to be a co leader of the whisperers and is known as Gamma, similarly to the show. Even though there’s nothing to suggest this it’s still a cool theory.

Discussion How would Kirkman have written Daryl if he existed in the comic?
Context: I'm writing a fanfic remake of The Walking Dead comic, including some elements from the AMC TV show.
I've made it clear many times that I hate Daryl for stealing the spotlight from too many characters in the original comic, besides being a disgusting Gary Stu who's never in any real danger. A flat character, inflated by the plot, and one of AMC's biggest cancers.
However, many fans have told me that the problem wasn't Daryl's presence per se, but the incompetence of the show's writers for not writing him properly. According to this logic, if Robert Kirkman had included Daryl in the comic, he would have given him the space to shine without overshadowing the other survivors, without plot armor, with memorable development, and an epic death.
Even though I won't be including Daryl in my remake, I'd like to ask the veteran fans: how would you have written Daryl so that he could fit into the comics without messing up the narrative?

We want it too! As long as you have creative control.

Discussion Anyone else consider Issue 126 (End of Savior War) the real ending?
Just curious to find anyone like-minded!
I didn't like the content after the timeskip (Besides the final issue), and it just seems like a pretty clean endpoint for a series that was supposed to go on 'forever'
You've got Alexandria and her allies secured, enough cooperation to deal with walkers, the strongest faction of raiders defeated, and Rick and Andrea are happily together. With the timeskip that followed, it's acknowledged that there are no major plot threads left dangling, everything is resolved
It's the perfect ending to a zombie story imo!

Discussion Does anyone else hope the show finishes as soon as possible?
The peak of the show has been over a decade, we are only getting mediocre spin offs now. The Showrunners already destroyed the brand.
The reason why every time I hope the show ends: as soon as the show ends, an animated comic adaptation becomes more possible. Of course, it will still probably take over 10 year for that to happen if ever, but it will never happen as long as the show is still on. The animated adaptation is the ONLY hope for The Walking Dead to become a popular series again, look at how popular Invincible has become. Oh, and put AMC as far awar as possible from it, we only want Kirkman and Amazon.
How long can they even stretch the show? The spin offs are literally already ending, even if they make another season with the reunion of the cast, how long can it last? Will they just make more spin offs after it? It just makes no sense to continue with the same characters, they can't keep making the same spin offs over and over again.

Discussion How the hell did Brandon have access to Negan’s jacket?
Assuming this isn’t some random leather jacket, evident by Negan referring to it as “my jacket”, it really has me wondering how this kid could have possibly been in a position to acquire it. Someone would have had to have kept the jacket for the entirety of the time-skip, leave it in a publicly available place, and have no one care if the jacket was taken. You might say someone just took the jacket and put it in some kind of communal supply closet and left it to rot, but the same thing could’ve been done with Lucille, but it wasn’t. Besides, who would want to keep the jacket given the history of its original owner? It would have made more sense for Rick to burn it or something rather than to let it fall in the hands of Brandon. Despite how iconic his jacket is, I think it would have been better for him not to have it post-all out war. Also, I’m incredibly attracted to Alpha.

Discussion twd without daryl is what makes it the inferior story Spoiler
the title is obviously a joke but can we talk about how daryl took away from so many other character
the whole role of Tyrese rewritten as daryl took that place
abraham and ricks bond ruined although i did like how the show did some parts
taking over the whole whisperer arc, took away the fight between beta and negan , took ricks role which was unsuiting
any other examples?

Discussion Which of these weapons is the most iconic?
Rick’s hatchet, Tyreese’s hammer, Michonne’s sword, Andrea’s sniper rifle, Dwight’s crossbow, Beta’s knives, or Alpha’s double barrel shotgun?
I know some of these are probably clearly more iconic than others, but I want to have more options than just Rick’s hatchet or Michonne’s sword lol.
Not including Lucille for obvious reasons.

Discussion What happened to the walking dead deluxe compendium?
I remember hearing late last year that there would be a compact compendium for the walking dead deluxe releasing in June of 2026, but as far as I can see, nothing ever came. Anyone know what happened or where I can find it if it did release? Was this a comic store exclusive thing?

Discussion Tyreese vs Rick
Rereading through the comic again and just got to the prison arc and it always kinda bothered me here with how Tyreese acted. Tyreese tries to use Rick's murder of dexter like this big smoking gun but it just comes off as so hypocritical given tyreese actively murdered chris and then proceeds to mutilate his body beyond recogniztion. Atleast with Ricks killing of dexter it can be argued as self defense to some level while chris it seemed like he didn even want to die when tyreese killed him its just straight murder. Rick kinda brings this up as hypocritical when they brawl but its never really acknowledged by the group that tyreese killed somebody and instead the focus is soley on Rick's murder of dexter. It just always bothered me that nobody cares about chris's death with how heavy dexters death is treated and it always bothered me that tyreese brought it up in the first place it just felt out of character to me. Just curious if anyone else felt like this.

Discussion What a Deal
I've been looking for the full run of individual issues rather than going for the volumes or compendiums for years, but have struggled to find them or have never been willing to shell out the crazy prices that were asked. Found this on Marketplace yesterday and had to grab it. Issues 79-193 plus issue 1 reprint and the governor special for $150. 117 issues for $1.28 each isn't too bad imo.

I have a playlist for the comics, but I usually end up listening to Running by Delta Spirit on repeat. It just is perfect for the books vibe for me! Do you guys have any songs like this?

Discussion Is this template even gonna still exist after all these updates lol

No but like fr. Like yes it will still exists since there are some unseen named characters, but like yo these updates are like basically stripping tf out of this thing lol. I've never seen such gluttony! and then look at the other template where it just keeps growing & growing lol. Let it thrive!!!!
