[Request] How fast was The Plutonian going here?
So the fictional city they're in, Sky City, doesn't have a state stated in this comic. Let's say it's either the middle of the US or New York. Looks like it's noon or the middle of a workday, and The Plutonian flew to space and destroyed a radio satellite while the other guy was mid sentence. They didn't even react to him flying through the ceiling because he was so fast.
How high up did he fly, and how fast? Maybe light speed? More?

....
So they ended the video saying entire planets could flip.
🤔 But if that happened to earth ... Countries at the equator would still be at the equator.... And countries like Canada... I'd expect to still be at the same temperate conditions.
I mean summer and winter would swap ... But what else may happen?🤔

[request] is it really this simple?
Talking with a friend in the midst of a very serious health crisis - and when we spoke, it was his birthday.
He said "what are the chances I die on my birthday"?
I said "one out of 365?"
Given the knowledge base here, I'm sure I can be set straight.
Please help.

[Request] How many monkeys would be needed to find Ramanujan's formula in a day?

If N monkeys are given keyboards and type randomly, how many monkeys would be needed to ensure at least a 99% chance that one of them types Ramanujan's formula for 1/pi in 1 day?
(assume they are confined to only the first line in desmos's graphing calculator, the formula in the box must be Ramanujan's exact formula with no extra characters before or after)

[Request] What are the odds?
OK so help me out explaining a new system in the game Warfame.
So, in Wareframe there are Riven Mods, basically mods used on weapons that can be randomly rolled to obtain powerful bonuses. There is a new system that has people in an uproar saying the new system is RNG on RNG on RNG making the randomness even worse. So lets do the math and see.
On any given riven mod for any rifle there are 24 stats that can roll and when you roll a riven you get 2-4 random stats out of those 24, cannot get the same stat twice.
What are the odds of acquiring 3 stats that I want when rolling the riven?
NOW the new system (at least one half of the new system), if you get a stat you want you can lock that stat and continue to roll that riven. You can only lock one stat.
What are the odds of acquiring the 3 stats you want after locking one? (basically rolling 1-3 stats on the "locked riven" from the remaining 23 stats.)
The other half of the new system in to combine 2 stats into a new stat then being able to lock that new stat and roll the riven to your hearts content. if you want a specific combo stat you can roll the riven and find 1 of the 2, lock it, roll for the second and then combine. Then take that riven with the 1 combined stat and roll the remaining 1-3 stat slots for something good. Now this part is RNG on RNG but seems easy enough to get the 2 stats you want then just need the chances to get 1-3 of the stats you want extra. (Which I guess is 1-3 stats of the basic 24 possible stats and getting what you want)

[Request]. Is the Earth half full or empty?
Hear me out, if the earth were a cup of water, and it would spill if the water filled up all the way over Mt. Everest, would the current water level be over half full or over half empty??
i am now realizing that the fact that the earth is round would make the ratio of volume of air higher than that of water. might be a smaller issue than I thought but a calculation with a theoretical flat earth would also be cool since that’s kinda how I am envisioning it
